Saint Philips house

“Awesome” It's not often that one finds a place to call home and Cupid's Home is a home away from home. It was a vacation like I've never experience before. Everything was spotless. The condo was very self-contained to all my needs, and Mr. Cupid was most pleasant and accommodating. I also enjoyed the bonus of the vehicle he offers with the package, meaning no transportation issues, and the location was approximately 7mins away from any point of interest I wished to visit. I highly recommend staying at Cupid's Home, for an enjoyable and most relaxing vacation.

“Breathtaking views!” Of all the places we have visited, this is one of our favorites by far. The Villas at Stoneyhill have the most amazing views from your balcony. The pictures don't do it justice. Super clean, private, and all the amenities you need. Great for a romantic get-away, or just for some much needed R&R.; Merve and Karol are the best hosts ever! We will definitely be back.

“Relaxing family holiday in a nature lovers location with wonderf” We chose a cottage in antigua as we wanted a place for ourselves & our 20 month old toddler. On arrival we were met at the airport by our hospitable host along with a child's car seat. It was additional extra touches such as this throughout our stay that made Doug & Gabby such good hosts. The self catering cottages had everything you needed & the large gas barbie on the veranda overlooking the lake made cooking a pleasure not a chore. We made friends with two tame finches who along with the pelicans, humming birds, egrets & cranes to name but a few kept the whole family entertained for hours. Our cottage overlooked a lake on the other side of which was the beach & sea accessible within a 5 minute walk. On the days our son didnt fancy the waves in the sea he had plenty of fun splasing in the shared pool by the villa. The island was small enough to cover within our 10 day stay by hire car so we were able to see all the major sites which Doug mapped out for us. All in all a wonderful time, highly recommended.

Shell Villa - 5 Bedroom Luxurious Oceanfront Villa overlooking Montserrat

Falmouth villa

  • 5 bedrooms
  • 5 bathrooms
  • sleeps 10

“A piece of paradise.” I have now stayed in Shell Villa on three occasions within the last two years simply because as soon as I come home, I miss it and want to return. Shell Villa is perfectly situated on the Falmouth side of the island and the house itself is totally private and not overlooked by any neighbours, therefore it offers peaceful tranquillity. The views from Shell Villa are simply spectacular; you can lye in the pool by day watching the banana quits and birds of prey flying overhead and then relax on the decking with a rum in hand to watch the sun setting over Monserrat island in the evening. There are all of the modern conveniences that you would expect in a villa of this quality: en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom, a beautifully maintained garden and pool (and fantastic cleaner, Daphne who will ensure you have everything you could possibly need), cooking equipment etc. but the thing that makes Shell Villa a place you want to keep coming back to is the added extras which make it more like a home away from home; something you just don't get in hotels and most rental properties. For example, the house has its own library where guests can borrow books during their stay. There is fabulous artwork around the vlla and the kitchen is equipped with every possible thing you could require including cookbooks and recipes from around the island so it is great for those who enjoy experimenting with local food. From the villa, one can walk to local beaches, snorkel off the rocks (I have yet to find better snorkelling in another part of the island) as well as being well situated for the bars and restaurants at Falmouth Harbour, just a 10 minute drive or taxi away. Antigua is an amazing island with beautiful beaches, rainforest-like landscape, wonderful food and lovely people. Shell Villa really is a small piece of paradise nestled within this natural beauty and I would recommend anyone to stay here.

“3 weeks in Paradise.” We have stayed in this wonderfull villa the last five years for shorter or longer time. We enjoyed to relax by the pool in the beautifull surroundings, take the boat out to one of the islands for a picnik, or to one of the resturants nearby. The Villa is tastefully decorated in antiguan style it is easy to feel at home and very comfetable. The garden is wonderfull and there is a little private beach where you can enjoy the morning swim. We enjoyed the evening on the terrace watching the boats anker up in the bay.

About Antigua

The Caribbean nation of Antigua and Barbuda is actually made of up of three islands: Antigua, Barbuda and Redonda. Antigua is the most heavily visited of the nation's islands, and it is where most of the development and tourism infrastructure has been built. Barbuda is sparsely inhabited, offering miles and miles of unspoiled, pristine beaches that are perfect for those looking to escape the hubbub and crowds of Antigua. Redonda is a small, uninhabited island filled with natural beauty, which you can tour by boat.

Some of the major attractions in Antigua and Barbuda include:

  • St. John's: The nation's capital city has a vibrant, welcoming island vibe, excellent restaurants and exciting nightlife. It's also a fascinating destination in its own right, and taking a tour of its historical sites and curiosities is an eye-opening way to spend a day. If you're looking for Antigua spas, St. John's is an excellent place to begin your search.
  • Half Moon Bay: This pink sand beach is considered one of the most beautiful in the country, dotted with rocky cliffs, lush palm trees, and crashing blue waves. This is the ideal setting for an Antigua wedding or honeymoon.
  • Devil's Bridge: A natural landmark of a breed you won't find anywhere else, Devil's Bridge consists of sprawling arches of limestone. It is located on the east cost of the island of Antigua.
  • Nelson's Dockyard National Park: This historic preserve overlooks the eastern dockyards of Antigua and is home to Shirley Heights, a community of fortifications dating back to the nation's colonial era. This area is a common embarking point for Antigua sailing excursions.
  • Stingray City: One of the nation's most intriguing nature preserves, Stingray City is named for the sea creatures that populate its placid waters and offers an up-close look at the tropical wildlife that abounds in the islands.

Accommodations in Antigua and Barbuda are plentiful, but for the most relaxing and enjoyable visit, consider a vacation rental. Offering you more room and privacy than you'd get at a hotel, and often for a lower price, beach villas, condos and rental homes are perfect for couples, families and group vacations to this charming Caribbean nation.

You can go island-hopping fairly easily from Antigua and Barbuda. Flying or cruising by sea to destinations like Puerto Rico, St. Kitts and Nevis, and nearby Guadeloupe is both easy and affordable.

Comfortable

First I would like to say I go to Antigua very often and this has been one of the best place I've stayed at. It has all the modern comforts that you would need. The communications with the owner was first class, I quickly built up a rappor with him and his family. The only one draw back ( for me as Antiguan ) the house is close to a busy road and I am a person who likes my privacy. Other than that I would 100% recommend this as a place to stay while you in Antigua.see more
Yepton Estate Cottages - 1-Bedroom Cottages
Second visit – and can’T wait for the third!!

Antigua's Yepton Estate Cottages is our Little Paradise - It is the best place to chill out after enjoying a lazy day at one of antigua's amazing beaches, or an active day taking advantage of the many fun things to do. Gabie and Douglas are very hospitable and assist you with anything you want or need. The cottages are super comfortable and clean and they are fully equipped for self-catering, including a BBQ on the covered porch. Free Wifi, Cable TV, a DVD player and free movies keep you entertained and in touch with the world. And then there is the proximity to nature - an abundant tropical garden, lots of birds, a lake jumping with fish, all of which you can take in while rocking in your hammock or lounging by the pool. And all this within a short walk from a lovely sand beach. It's a private and peaceful oasis - we'll be back!see more
Sea front villa in Nonsuch Bay; own beach & pool
A secluded paradise...

I had a two week stay with friends at this fabulous villa to the East of the Island - a home from home in paradise. The facilities are of the highest standard making 'staying in' just as appealing as visiting the many antiguan attractions. An infinity pool and sun deck provide fantastic views across Nonsuch Bay. The luxurious living space is bright and breezy and feels part of the beautifully landscaped, tiered gardens. Bedrooms are all well-appointed with air conditioning throughout for those that like it and there is an option to shower outside for something a little more adventurous than an indoor bathroom. It was not far to the nearest beach as there is one at the bottom of the garden with a walkway to guide you. Nearby I enjoyed the hospitality and relaxed dining at Harmony Hall. Lazy lunches and delicious dinners, all with a great view of the bay and surroundings. The villa is securely positioned a short distance from the noisier locations on the island and perfect for groups of friends wanting to give themselves to a little bit of a treat. It feels exclusive and special - would love to return one day.see more

Stoneyhill Cottage, with private pool...(Brand New)
Perfect romantic getaway

I did some research to find the perfect romantic getaway and got even more than I expected. The cottage, one of three, was spacious, comfortable, clean and private, with a huge veranda overlooking the ocean ideal for having a drink at sunset, lying in the hammock, or enjoying an outdoor meal. And the hosts, Karon and Merv, were great - kind, caring, generous people, always helpful, and always ready with a recommendation or to make a booking. We explored the entire island in the jeep arranged by the hosts (pick-up from the airport and the jeep waiting at the cottage all for one very reasonable price) and found our favorite beach (The Nest) just a short five-minute drive away. My boyfriend and I are recommending Stoneyhill apartments to all of our friends.see more
