“Great House in Mendoza” My wife and I shared the accommodation with another couple. A good choice for us. Julio welcomed us on our arrival and ensured we had everything we required. The house was beautiful, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was a 20 minute walk from downtown in a good area. Mendoza is very clean and friendly. Wine country was great!!

“Great time in Palermo” Comfortable apartment, very similar to the pictures advertised. Check in and check out punctually made ??without difficulty. The kitchen was perfect for preparing meals of our baby 1 year and 3 months. We regret the lack of natural ventilation, especially in the bathroom. Great location.

About Argentina

Argentina is a large, sophisticated, and appealing country, located at the southernmost tip of South America. Few places can compete with the drama and diversity of Argentina's landscapes. Skiers and snowboarders will be drawn to the Andes, while hikers and mountain bikers will leap at the opportunity to travel through this mountain range's unique ecosystem. In the northern regions, Argentina's wetlands are home to some of South America's most interesting flora and fauna, as well as fascinating Incan ruins and former Jesuit monasteries. Further south, Argentina's tip is an icy paradise of mountains and glaciers, scarcely touched by humankind.

Culturally, Argentina is equally interesting. Argentina is the birthplace of the tango, and it continues to be one of Latin America's most prodigious producers of modern art, music, film, and literature. In Argentinean cities, a sophisticated populace enjoys a contemporary lifestyle, galleries, and a range of ethnic restaurants. When in Argentina, be sure to sample the country's fabulous local cuisine. Famous for its cuts of meat, Argentinean steakhouses are among the best in the world. In the afternoon, try a cup of yerba mate, the famous herbal infusion that is popular throughout South America.

If you are planning to visit Argentina, consider the following sights:

  • Buenos Aires: Argentina's capital city is a lively and stylish town, filled with interesting museums, beautiful architecture, and top-notch dining and nightlife options.
  • Cordoba: Take a trip to this charming mountain city to visit its wonderful museums, colonial architecture, historic sites, and relaxing cafes.
  • Patagonia: The spectacular southernmost tip of South America is divided between Chile and Argentina, a land of glaciers, mountains, and icebergs.
  • Lake District: In the Andes Mountains near the Chilean border, this picturesque region is dotted with alpine lakes and stunning scenery.
  • Mendoza: The heart of Argentina's wine growing region, Mendoza is a wonderful place to enjoy the country's red varietals as well as outdoor adventures.
  • Tierra de Fuego: One of the most fascinating destinations on earth, Tierra del Fuego is an island off the southern coast of Argentina, and the last land mass before Antarctica.

A trip to Argentina will be particularly memorable if you stay in vacation rental. In Buenos Aires, book an apartment, condo, or townhouse in the city center, where you can enjoy restaurants and nightlife along with the locals. Those heading to Patagonia may want to stay in a cabin, or a spacious villa near the wine growing region in Mendoza.

Exclusive Studio located in the Heart of the City
We very much enjoyed our stay in Studio 409.

This apartment is in a nice old building, which I prefer to a characterless modern place. Because the building is so solid, and the apartment opens onto an inner courtyard, it is VERY quiet. It's also in an excellent location, near the Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada, the San Telmo outdoor market, the Florida "mall", and there are a number of nice restaurants nearby. It's also near many subway stops, so you can get pretty much anywhere in the city from there. The apartment is well equipped in appliances which all worked well. There was an adequate supply of dishes, silverware, and pots--I like to cook The bed was great. I lugged a foam bed pad down, since I'm very sensitive, but didn't use it. The couch and upholstered chair were really comfy, too. It was a comfortable spot to come "home" to, after a long day of walking all over. One of the great assets of this apartment is the Ana, the landlady. She took the time to explain everything and left a sheet with important information, such as phone numbers for taxis. Since we were there for two weeks, she made sure we had enough sheets and towels. She emailed me more than once during our stay to make sure we were okay. This was a HUGE contrast to my brother and sister-in-law's landlady, who just handed them the key and wasn't heard from again. There were some negatives about the apartment. The windows were covered so that light came in but no direct light, and when they were open, there was no view. The shower was basically a single pouring stream of water, not a spray. There were no dish towels and no small sharp knife, but I had brought my own, thanks to a traveler's tip. The neighborhood seemed a bit iffy after dark, although we had no trouble at all. The drawbacks of staying there were small compared with the good things. We had a lovely stay.see more
Recoleta with History & Elegance (2,200 Sq Feet)
A great Location and great apartment

This was our 5th trip to Buenos aires(Ba) and our third apartment. We have always stayed in Recoleta. This apartment was in the best location and was perfect for us. We are a couple in our late 60's. The apartment is as described. It was very traditional and upscale. The kitchen had all the amenities we wanted. The living room was spacious and the balcony was big enough to see all the street sights while standing with a glass of wine. Lane loved the foyer and and we sat there each night with cheese and wine before going to dinner. The vanity off the foyer was very convenient The master bedroom was spacious and the master bathroom was very big with a separate room for the toilet and bidet. The shower was also separate and had great water pressure. A double sink with much counter space and a walk in closet made it even better, all tile and marble by the way. The 2nd bedroom is better suited for kids than us in that it is up a steep flight of stairs and has a low entrance. We did not use it and did not need it but it has it's own good size bath. Marcela, who greeted us with flowers and wine, was very helpful and knowledgeable and would have been more so, I'm sure, if we weren't so familiar with Ba ourselves. She is definitely the best looking manager in Ba. She arranged for our transportation to and from the airport with Ernesto which was flawless. There are wine stores, cheese shops and pastry shops in the neighborhood and a small restaurant with outdoor tables right outside the door. A grocery is right around the corner. If you like the sounds of the city, which we do, they are there but they go away as soon as you close the doors. Los Pinos on French is our favorite local restaurant and a new upscale one, El Burladero on Uriburu, was terrific. We were thinking this was our last trip to Ba but based on this experience we plan now to return. If we return by ourselves we will rent here again definitely. We highly recommend it.see more
AMAZING DUPLEX IN PALERMO 26th floor swimming pool
Great apartment, Great Location, Great Building and amenities

We stayed here for a week Christmas 2013. After seeing numerous apartments for rent online, we decided on this flat in Palermo Hollywood. We are glad we did because going through Flipkey gave us a good measure of control over the deposit and the process of renting and going through the owner, Andrea Grosso, gave us a friend on the ground in Ba. The apartment is located in one of the most interesting and best located neighborhoods in Ba, and it scores at the top of the walkability scale with numerous top-rated restaurants and shops. The building is a new highrise with 24-7 security -- although we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood at all hours. Because of the quality of the building and being on the 14th floor sound from other units and from the street is negligible. Being a corner unit really makes a difference. It has large floor-to-ceiling windows with light-blocking shades. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances and a full size refrigerator. Up the spiral staircase is a comfortable king size bed with built-in storage system with plenty of storage and a full size bathroom. Air conditioners on both levels ensured our comfort 24/7. She also has reliable wifi (Internet access) from every spot in the apartment. One of the best things was the huge balcony with table and chairs and great views of sunrise an sunset. We especially enjoyed the pool area downstairs and green-space around it. It was a nice get away from the big city. Andrea was responsive and is better than other renting options because you are dealing directly with an owner that cares about her renters' experience. She sends a wonderful email with a detailed list of her favorite restaurants, key activities and points of interest, how to access public transportation and more. The apartment was fully stocked with bed linens, towels, soaps, hair dryer, a good iron and ironing board, etc. Her English is perfect. Thank you, Andrea, for truly making our visit so wonderful!see more

Luxury house jacuzzi & garden - rental in Mendoza City
Home away from home -- the wine edition

It's impossible to talk about this rental without talking about the man who owns the house: Julio. He's wonderful! For English speakers, his English is excellent. But more importantly, he's warm, welcoming, helpful, and he loves Mendoza wines. We rented his house to start our South american wine vacation (we're also hitting Buenos aires and Santiago), and he figured out which wineries were open during Christmas week, he made all the necessary winery and restaurant reservations for us, he offered himself as our driver, and he offered his warm companionship throughout our winery tours (explaining and translating as we went). And then there's the house. It is beautiful! Perfect for us (a couple and a single person), it would also be perfect for two couples. We enjoyed the jacuzzi, the barbecue grill, the wi-fi (sadly, I had to work a bit while I was there), the kitchen (we did some cooking while there--do visit the Central Market!), and everything worked perfectly. One of my favorite little luxuries was the bath sheets! Too often, I find regular hotel towels too small, so I loved the huge bath sheets in our bathroom. The value can't be beat. We visited the Park Hyatt in Mendoza (they have a nice wine bar!) and while it is very nice, for what we paid to rent this house, we would have only gotten one hotel room at the Hyatt. If I could, I'd visit Julio and his lovely house every year. Heck, every month!see more
Best Block in Palermo Hollywood: 1BR / 1BA / 4 PPL
Perfect location, helpful host, lovely apartment!

This charming Art Deco apartment is just perfect for 2 or 3 people, located in the heart of Palermo Hollywood (cool area with great restaurants and bars open til late into the night). Near the subway ("Supte") and easy to get to other areas of this fab city. Dave is a kind and generous host who provided a bottle of delicious Malbec and bowl of fruit, and also helped us get our bearings in BA.see more
