Lovely cabin in the woods. The perfect blend of rustic with modern amenities. You can stay in and enjoy peace and quiet of the wooded neighborhood or enjoy the attractions a few minutes away by car.The cabin's layout is perfect for large families. Everyone can congregate in the large kitchen and the 3 levels provide privacy if needed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

Staying at Sierra Zen was like coming home. Everything was comfortable, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to use. The house let us enjoy being on vacation while, at the same time, not having to do without any of the conveniences we appreciate in our own residence.

We recently stayed at Sierra Zen, 2 couples, 1 grandmother and one teenager. The place had nice furniture, good beds and was spacious. We all had plenty of room and were able to have times together and time in small groups. The kitchen was large and well stocked and we cooked a lot as a family activity and there was plenty of room. Three full baths kept the harmony and with 3 TVs there was a place for a chick flick at the same time the football game was on.
We loved the setting, private with lots of trees surrounding. We didn't use the BBQ or the hot tub but I suspect others would.
Best Pros- clean, well appointed with everything you need, great master suite, nice setting, very close to town( without being in it) and close to Big Trees State Park.
Minor Cons - The long driveway was fine in the summer but in the winter we could imagine it might be tricky if you do not have 4 wheel drive. The bed linens were a poly blend, not cotton and so warm in the 90 degree days we had. (I know... but cotton sheets are a pet peeve of mine)
So we would definitely consider staying here again and recommend to friends.

This place has it all... peace and quiet , space ,trees as far as the eye can see . The main level felt so roomy and was very well appointed . The kitchen is one of the best spots , I love to cook and it was perfect for family or entertaining ! It felt as if I were staying in a chic treehouse . Loved it and we will be back for sure !
Thank you, Michael. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Yes, the newly-renovated, contemporary kitchen is our favorite spot in our home, too.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Sierra Zen Cabin. A world away tucked away in the Sierra's with access to so many activities - hiking, skiing, cross country, antiquing in historic towns. Arnold is a place that allows something during every season. The cabin is lovingly maintained with all the creature comforts required to make one's stay comfortable and memorable.

The Sierra Zen cabin truly lives up to its' name. The cabin is well appointed and every detail is carefully looked after and focused on the guest. The cabin is plush and luxurious, in a wonderful mountain setting. The furnishings, bedding and decor are top-notch with a "Sierra mountain" touch. We enjoyed a long weekend with the kids hiking, fishing, playing board games, reading and just relaxing. The setting is ideal for a family escape or romantic getaway. The owners could not do more to make the cabin and stay more perfect. Thank you.

SierraZen is a beautiful home. Updated and clean, we were perfectly comfortable. It is in a quiet location, easy to find, and felt like home. Great location in arnold. Fully equipped kitchen, so easy to cook in, but also close to arnold restaurants that were delicious. We would definitely go back. The only thing it was missing was a toaster. I highly recommend this house for a weekend away.
Thank you for taking the time to share your recent positive experience at our Sierra Zen home. I'm glad that you enjoyed the restaurants nearby.
Thank you also for the feedback about having a toaster. You'll find a new one next time you come back.

This is a lovely cabin surrounded by nature, which provides the perfect retreat if you are looking to get away and relax or spend a fun week end with friends. The cabin itself is spacious, plenty of space for a single family get away, or friends and family get away. Both adults and children can have plenty of fun, and create wonderful memories. The cabin is nicely decorated and has all the amenities you might ever need. There are big windows throughout the house, and whether in a bedroom or the kitchen/living room, you always feel so close to nature. There is a large deck on the side of the house, perfect for outdoor dining, barbecuing, or simply relaxing listening to the forest sounds as the day unfolds. Adjacent to the outdoor deck is a hot tub; imagine yourself relaxing in it while looking a the stars on a perfect summer night...! This is a great place any time of the year; winter is beautiful and skiing at Bear Valley is great. There are lots of things to do very close by, great hikes, and if you like the outdoors this is a perfect location. I have been there at different times of the year, and have always enjoyed this peaceful retreat. One fun tidbit: you can leave your autograph on a wall when you depart, so fun to read everyone's "footprint"! One important element: parking is easy right in front of the cabin. I am already looking forward to our next getaway at the cabin...
