Arroyo Grande is known for its Saturday Farmer’s Market in Old Town, at the park by the creek with its cafes and shops. The Strawberry Festival is a not-to-be-missed event with supermarket shaming berries fresh from local farms. Walk about and munch strawberry shortcakes, pies, tarts, sundaes or jams…great fun for all!
Grover Beach has the only beach in California where you can drive on the hard packed sandy seashore. Adjacent is the Guadalupe-Grover beach CaliforniaNipomo Dunes Preserve with the highest beach dunes in the western United States. It is designated a National Natural Landmark and is part of the 18-mile stretch of coastal dunes on California's Central Coast. Rent a dune buggy if you like and enjoy an adventure of a lifetime.
Having some of the most beautifully sculptured sand dunes in the state, millions flock here for ATV and dune buggy riding. Pismo Beach and Oceano Beach are one of the last remaining coastal dunes that allow off-highway vehicles (OHV).The State Recreation Area consists of about 3,500 acres, 1000 of which are dedicated to wildlife. A boardwalk trail to Oso Flaco Lake is also located within the dune complex. All of this just minutes away from Vista Seas.
At Pismo Beach, you can enjoy a walk on the long sandy shore or stroll along its long boardwalk and pier to chat with fishermen trying their luck. Rent Surf boards or boogie boards for beach fun, or a kayak to explore the kelp beds and rocky coastline and watch sea otters bobbing in the sunshine.

Only a short walk from the parking lot, it is a great spot for kids and a terrific photo op.
Be sure to bring your camera to the “Classic at Pismo Beach”, one of the largest classic car and street rod shows on the West Coast that has been held annually on the 3rd weekend of June for over 26 years. It typically displays a 1000 classic cars and street rods with over 125,000 spectators over three days.
The Avila Beach Golf Resort is a favorite of the Central Coast golf courses. Located 3 miles off Highway 101 between San Luis Obispo and Pismo Beach, it is only 15 minutes from Vista Seas. Nestled among green hills and a blue bay, the resort includes a par 71, 6500-yard championship course. The front nine lies within oak-lined valleys while the back nine crosses a tidal estuary. Golfers of all abilities will enjoy the challenge and views of this scenic course.

A college town with Cal Poly University, the SLO life here is known for its quiet laid back lifestyle during the day, but “rocks” at night. Along the back road to San Luis Obispo on HWY 227, Centralcoast wine tours you can take a leisurely pace and enjoy wine tasting at any of the many fine wineries that line the SLO valley, starting just 10 minutes from Vista Seas. Sample the Syrah, Sparkling Wines, Port, Grenache, Merlot, Cabernet, Roussanne, and Viognier, or many varietals. The vines were planted some 200 years ago when the Mission Fathers made their own sacramental wine. There are more than 200 wineries within the Central Coast region known for its sunny Mediterranean climate.
