An Apt in Athens with Heated Pool & Acropolis view
Welcome to AURA - Acropolis Unique Residence Apartments
AURA derives from the energy which you will be experiencing as a visitor.
First and most important is the energy that flows from the Acropolis of Athens. The view to it is stunning from the living room and the bedroom as well as from the roof top terrace and the swimming pool. It also derives from the renewable geothermal and solar energy systems that were designed to insure heating and cooling, domestic hot water production and swimming pool heating in an environment-friendly way. Last but not least, positive energy is emitted from your hosts and owners who are trying not just to be accommodating but treat you as their own guests. It is only normal the mix has created the Acropolis Unique Residence Apartments.
The apartment is situated on the 6th floor. To visit Athens, it is ideally located in the area of Thission, a residential area at close proximity to all major points of interest during your stay.
Thission is actually the most appealing of all neighborhoods in the center of Athens, for visitors as well as for Athenians. It combines the serenity of the archaeological sites, the pedestrian streets, the neoclassical houses, the museums and art galleries, with the lively cafes and bars, the Athenian family walks during the weekends, and the open air craft market.
The apartment is literally 10 minutes’ walk from the Acropolis, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Acropolis museum and other sites, through Apostolou Pavlou and Dionyssiou Areopagitou pedestrian streets. They are characterized as offering one the top most beautiful city walks in Europe. A variety of shops (grocery, bakery, bookstore and many others) as well as some excellent tavernas / restaurants and cafes are found at a 2minutes walk from the penthouse. The owner will be happy to suggest them to you. And if you wish to experience an open air movie theater, Athens Cine Thission has been rated by BBC as one of the 10 most beautiful cinemas in the world (open May-September).
The apartment has direct access to a private terrace refreshed with potted herbs and a cozy little corner to enjoy some nice appetizers. It also leads to the roof top terrace and the swimming pool which are shared with another AURA apartment. The olive, orange and lemon trees and the bevy of chirping birds complement the amazing view to the Acropolis, to the Athens Observatory and to the whole of Attica till the south sea coast. The swimming pool is enjoyed throughout the year as it is heated and covered during the winter season. A unique feeling no other apartment offers in Athens’ historic centre.
The view to the Acropolis especially at night is stunning from the living room’s sofa as from your pillows when you decide to rest after a wonderful day of exploration.

Thissio is the name of a neighborhood in downtown Athens, Greece, northwest of the Acropolis, 1.5 km southwest of downtown, and 1 km southwest of city hall; its name derives from the Temple of Hephaestus, also known as Τhiseio, as it was, in earlier times, considered a temple of Theseus. This apartment was wonderful...so much better than a hotel. Everything from the view to the location was just as described, so convenient, safe and close to the acropolis. The view at night is spectacular and we enjoyed the heated pool, too. The managers go out of their way to be helpful and provide good advice on restaurants and tourist tips. I would not only stay there again, I would love to live there.
