Although we are new to having a vacation home for rent we have been renting homes around the world from others for over 15 years and know what it takes to make (or break) a vacation. I can accommodate just about any request. I live a mile down the street. This was our house. When we moved in June of 2014 we left everything in place. This wasn't furnished to be a rental property it was a home. You can tell the difference in quality when you walk through the door of this amazing house.
I have listed the house at what I think is well below market rental rates in hopes of getting feedback quickly. I may be over attentive to the first few customers but I want to be sure this is the ultimate in vacation rentals in Austin
One look at the map and you will realize you couldn't hope for a better location. This house is located on Mesa Drive off 2222 just 4 minutes from MoPac (highway) and ten minutes from downtown. This 2.5 acre, 6 bedroom estate will make you feel like you are nowhere near the big city.
This house feels even bigger than it is and the views are amazing. The pool is as great as the house. The wet / negative edge pool adds to the views. There's an extra shallow section for kids or dogs as well as a swim up bar with bar stools.
The house is like brand new. Everything has been redone. The kitchen boasts an 8 burner Viking stove with a double oven as well as Viking vent hood and fridge. It's a chef's dream. There is a wine fridge, separate beverage fridge, wet bar and prep sink. The bar alone sits 6 comfortably.
This house on Mesa Drive in Austin has all the most modern features. The locks are electronic and accept keys or codes, your choice. WiFi Access points throughout the house and Super High Speed Internet access at 20Mbps assure you can get your work or play done. There are 5 flat screen TVs, 2 of which are 70". There is a VOIP phone as well as Netflix accounts configured for the televisions. There are several USB outlets in the kitchen to charge your gadgets and a host of cables in case you forgot one.
The home has three Carrier Infinity air conditioners with integrate humidifiers assuring the relative humidity of the house is constant and controlled year round. The deck is a great place for coffee in the morning, a drink in the evening and has seating for 8 as well as a gas grill.
We created a lot of parking when we redesigned the drive last year. There are two spaces out of the way on the South end and a large space next two the garage as well as two garage spaces. With 5 cars parked there is still plenty of room to turn around so you never have to back out. Additionally there is nearly unlimited street side parking.
The house has 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms. There are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms upstairs. Two of the bedrooms have private bathrooms and 2 bedrooms share a bathroom. The shared bathroom has a tube/shower combination. One of the private baths has a shower only and one has a tub and a separate shower. Additionally there is a game room on the second floor with a 70" LED TV and an pool table.
Downstairs has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a bath with a shower and separate tub. This room has views of the canyon. On the north end of the house is a smaller bedroom with a private bath that has a shower.
In the laundry room you will find a front load LG washer and dryer and sink.
The backyard is fenced and dog friendly. The deck from the living area if 15 feet off the ground offering beautiful views and is nice place to drink coffee in the morning.
You will find all the necessities, hair dryers, laundry soap, ironing board, espresso and coffee machines and more. If there is something you need that isn't there, just ask.
As I mentioned, I can accommodate about any request. There is an acoustic guitar (Guild) in the house at all times. If you need something else musical, just ask. Bikes are available for rent, as is a pickup truck golf cart that is pretty famous in the neighborhood. It is electric and legal to drive on the streets where the speed limit is 35mph or less as long as you have a license. It is an additional $50 per day.
