We enjoyed a short stay at Elwood Vautier in late January. Property is very pretty and in a beautiful tree lined street. Location was perfect, apartment is beautiful and beautifully furnished etc. but we were disappointed that the outside courtyard had not been cleaned nor maintained and we were unable to make use of it on the very balmy summer evenings we were there. Made contact with Boutique Stays but they did not respond to us.

The apartment was beautifully furnished, with everything you could need. Beds very comfortable - bathroom tiny but serviceable. Tv a challenge!!! But I expect you can upgrade somehow to watch movies etc...we didn't.
Outside area very nice for al fresco eating - it would benefit from a couple of comfortable sun loungers.
Brilliant location - 5 minute walk to the sea, or to the shops. We would definitely stay here agin. Boutique Stays very helpful and accommodating.

This apartment - a lower floor of a house - is a great place for a short stay for a couple or a small family / group. Large enough, private, very clean (Boutique Stays are good at the clean-up / set-up process) and in a wonderful location.
It's a little dark, due to the over-hanging balcony above, but nothing to worry about. Kitchen was good - perfectly good for eating in - and the other facilities were ideal. 2 min walk to Elwood village, with some great cafes and shops, and 5 mins from the beach.
Also worth noting, we booked this rental house for an extended stay, though due to a mistake in the info (since corrected) we found we couldn't keep our pet with us. So the stay was shorter than expected. But Boutique Stays were incredible in coming up with options for us to make this a painless situation.

Disappointing to find dirty pots and pans in the kitchen and limited saucepans. The exterior was dirty and we had to get someone in the clean it up.
There was also a problem with the bedroom heater and we had no heater until one was bought.

The apartment is delightful, beautifully appointed and maintained. We enjoyed the attention to detail - lovely fresh linen, the information on the apartment and the area left on the coffee table, big family sized kitchen table, non smoking policy, the extras in the kitchen (tea/coffee/sugar/cooking oil/kitchen paper/detergent etc),the off street parking. The location is ideal, it's a pretty leafy street, close to shops and the beach and very convenient for traveling into Melbourne or further afield. We would definitely stay here next time we visit Melbourne.
