Historic Chateau d'Avignon boasts Lavish Interiors & Lush Grounds with Pool Only 5 min to Town
Description from the manager
A palatial luxury villa awaits you in an exclusive part of Provence. Built during the fourteenth century, Le Chateau dAvignon once served as a castle for bishops awaiting audience with the Popes of Avignon. In more recent years, it has been tastefully restored to its original splendor with added modern conveniences.
Outside, you will find a heated pool, an alfresco shower and beach chairs. Enjoy the beautiful gardens and grounds, or relax while watching the goldfish swim among the water lilies in the lovely pond on the terrace. Or take a rest in the shade of the covered terrace, an inviting spot for dining outdoors. The villas interior features include a home entertainment system with satellite TV, a library corner with a computer and high speed Internet access and a game table.
Throughout Le Chateau dAvignon, a modern sense of resplendence meets an Old World charm. The living room with a fireplace makes a great place to curl up with a good book or share a laugh with your loved ones and guests. Vaulted ceilings provide a soothing sense of grandeur. The fully equipped kitchen features a center island and separate dining area. Daily housekeeping, a concierge service and a villa manager are included with your reservation.
Ten spacious and stately bedrooms accommodate up to twenty fortunate guests at Le Chateau dAvignon. Bedrooms include en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Each bedroom has been tastefully decorated according to individual color schemes and is finely appointed to help ensure a good night of sleep.
During your stay at Le Chateau dAvignon, you will be just a five minute drive to the town of Avignon where you will find lovely shopping, cinemas and restaurants. You will also be about an hour away from Marseilles. For a great experience in nature, you can visit Gorges du Verdon, a majestic canyon. Of course, you may just stay at your private French chateau while enjoying the feelings of peace, tranquility and sophistication that surround you.

We have rented over a dozen villas in the last eighteen years, this ranked among the very best experiences. We were pleased with the ambiance, the staff, Gerard the chef. The weather was beautiful and the grounds, stellar.
