“Haven Del Mar review” There are too many words to describe the experience my family and I had while staying at this "home"! Awesome, excellent, peaceful, Fun, relaxing...I can go on and on. Mr. Bucher, made sure we had everything we could ever ask for on a vacation, making this the best one yet for me and my family! It's in close proximity to everything...clean, very nice area, with wonderful neighbors. Walk out the back door to a beautiful canal that leads right to Xanadu Beach...Simply amazing!!! Don't hesitate to take your family to a place this home won't let them forget!

“Great Location” My family just spent 8 days in Nassau at Ocean Paradise. It was a fantastic location for a relaxing beach vacation. We swam in the ocean every day and enjoyed the fabulous views/ The house was in good shape and very well suited to families.I have used Vrob for many years and Catherine was a great hostess. We will definitely book this house again.

“Escape from reality” My husband and I both have high-pressure jobs. We were looking for an escape from the grind. We found it at Water's Edge. As we entered the gate of this quaint island paradise reality melted away. The main living area is open and comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious. But I can't say that we spent much time in the house... The view from the back patio is breathtaking. The doors open to a beautiful outdoor living space which overlooks the Caribbean. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner outside! The days were lazy, filled with much needed R&R.; We read books, napped in the hammock, and simply enjoyed the sun and the seascape. The home has direct access to the water, and the pool is perfect for that quick dip to cool off. Although we were looking for a quiet getaway, nightlife was not far away. We found it easy to get over to Paradise Island for some dinner and gambling at atlantis. We enjoyed our trip so much we returned with our daughter the following year. She enjoyed it as much as we did. We've got a new baby at home, but are looking forward to getting back to Water's Edge soon.

“Shangri La” This is a beautiful spot. The cottage itself was very clean and lovely. The sheets were excellent, and the kitchen had every cooking utensil needed, along with heavy bottomed cookware (excellent for cooking that cracked corn for grits!) Sara and Dan are very knowledgeable, and generous with said knowledge. The beach is a short walk and is gorgeous, and quiet. No complaints whatsoever!

“Great Vacation” Gone Bananas is arguably the newest and nicest property on Lubbers. Lubbers is a short boat boat ride from Elbow Cay and the Hopetown Settlement. Lubbers doesn't have many amentities besides Lubbers Landing, Cracker P's, Down Deep Fish Store and Dee's Bread, but if you are comfortable handling a center console, it's a great place to be away from the crowd without being too far away. Both Patrick and austin are excellent proprieters at the two restaurants. Definitely rent a 20-23 ft boat (Albury recommended) for your entire stay so you can easily hop over to Tilloo, Hopetown or Nippers on Great Guana Cay. A stretch golf cart is provided and is perfect for checking out the island and taking things to and from the boat. The house has an easy to operate generator for the routine power outages (power outages are part of the charm of the Bahamas). The Wifi was solid and all of the appliances were new and in good shape. We had very safe dockage for our boat. It was pretty much protected from all wind directions. We had a great trip and can't wait to get back. - Bill and Karen

“A little piece of paradise on a shoe string!” If you are looking for chocolates on your pillow at turn down time this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a very reasonably priced experience to gather your thoughts, relax, and to enjoy the ocean there in the Carribean this is the place for you. Yes, a little on the rustic side by some standards but exceptionally clean, well maintained, and the service from the manager/cook is to die for. When you arrive just put your wrist watch away and make your decisions based on the angle of the sun and the pain in your stomach. The food and the variety is just awsome! You want lobster? Just tell Pat,the cook, how big! White sand beaches and crystal clear water is yours to enjoy just steps from your abode. Bring your own snorkel gear or use theirs; the fish life is just amazing. Want to see some sights on land? They have a fleet of scooters there for your use or rent something a little more sophisticated nearby. You know, the real test of a vacation destination or even a restaurant is whether you would go back again or not. Cookie House is a definite repeat lodging destination; make arrangements for your next trip before you leave as this place books up in high season well in advance
