Wood Smoke Cottage cottage is nestled into the Hazel woods with private deck, fire pit and access to our Hot Tub & Sauna. PETS are also very welcome.
We are set in 4 acres off a green walking road with complete peace and quiet. You can step onto the karst landscape of the Burren just steps from the house. Wood Smoke cottage is nestled into the hazel woods just off a green road (walking route) and offers peace, quiet and country living for those wishing to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Bright, light, warm and cosy our cottage comes complete with wood fired stove and shared access to outdoor hot tub and sauna. Guests have a private deck set into the Burren rock with fire pit for star gazing or simply chatting with friends. It really is a hidden little getaway for relaxing with friends!
Our cottage opens directly onto Burren stone and is tucked into the hazel woods offering privacy and quiet. A lovely deck with fire pit right is perfect for little gatherings, a quiet cup of tea or glass in hand star gazing (no light pollution means we have spectacular skies!). The house is warm and cosy with wood stove and gas fired heating. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms makes it an ideal getaway for couples, small groups of friends and families. Please note, the cottage is not very suitable for children under the age of 5 - the listing does not give a flexible age limit. Our staircase is narrow and may not be suitable for younger guests. We are happy to provide bedding for the sofa bed downstairs in the main living area free of charge, should you feel more comfortable with the children sleeping downstairs. Just let us know and we'll do our best to make it comfortable. Pets are very welcome - our property is gated and safe. The wood fired hot tub and sauna are nestled into a stone ruin right next to the cottage, linked by a little path through the woods.
If you need babysitting, information on the area, tips on local restaurants or events just ask - we can even make reservations/enquiries.
You are just 2km from the small village of Ballyvaughan with its many pubs and restaurants offering great food and atmosphere. Ten minutes down the road you are at the sea, another 5 minutes brings you to the beach. Just a short drive away are the Cliffs of Moher, Lahinch for surfing and golf, the Dolmen is 10 minutes away. Aillwee Caves and the Birds of Prey Centre is a 2 minute walk away. Shannon airport is a 55 minute drive and Galway and Ennis are approximately 45 minutes by car. If you are a fan of walking and exploring the countryside you can head off into the mountains for hours just by walking out the front gate.

“Woodsmoke cottage”
Stayed 3 nights at woodsmoke cottage.Hot tub and sauna were amazing we spent hours in both.The cottage had everything we needed very comfortable and cosy with a lovely fire to light every night. Ciara our host had everything we needed logs and fire lighters for the fires board games and a lovely welcome pack. We well be back for a longer stay in the future.
