“Wonderful Barbados villa” For the past 5 years we have spent the winter months of January, February & March here in Sunset Crest, Holetown, Barbados. The last 2 years here at Mangoes, which meets our every need. Close to beach, beach house, shopping and many restaurants all within easy walking distance. With 3 bedrooms it easily accommodates us and our adult children when they come for a visit. This is our second year here and have already booked for next year.

“Perfection” This was the first time we have booked a private villa and were a little nervous as to what to expect - our concern was unfounded, the villa "did exactly as it said on the tin"! Carlton was excellent and nothing too muc trouble. The location is perfect, near to all restaurants and bars, beach etc. We really didn't want to leave and are looking forward to returning.

“Perfect villa in superb location” Really lovely villa and so handy for everything in Holetown we stayed in a Hotel the previous year ( Colony Club ) but this villa had everything we would wish for and so more private Paulette came in every couple of days and the gardens and pool were kept in first class condition throughout our stay We used Port St Charles a couple of times which was an added bonus when renting here and if you want to get away from the busy beaches this exclusive yacht club is perfect Looking forward to returning next February with friends as we have rebooked already which says it all !

“Very good location” Carlton was very easy to talk to and ask for help on anything to do with the island. He did all this even before I met him for the first time. So this was setting me up as too how it was to be in person and he was just as pleasant and helpful when we arrived. The house is in a great location and an easy walk to everything you need. We did not see monkeys in the garden but they were on the street in front of the house a few times which was a thrill for us. You will feel very safe in the area where the rental is located as well. The only thing I would have to say that was not up to my liking were the beds. They were really hard and needed a pad on the top of them for more comfort . After being there a week you really felt your back getting sore. One other thing that could have been better was the house keeping. The lady was so sweet and nice to be around I did not dare ask her to do a better job on the floors. It was so minor and we were only there a week so I chose to over look it. I would not even consider staying at another place if I ever get the chance to return. Carlton has my business and I have told others to rent as well from this same place. Well worth the look. “Great villa, beautiful place, a place to go and go back!” We loved - the villa and its situation - the rooms/beds which were very comfortable - the decoration and all amenities We loved less the fact - that the house was not really clean when we arrived (fridge, doors, loo, etc.) - that the cook, despite being a true sweetheart, was not very qualified and was totally unable to cook a full meal for 9 people 3 times a day, in fact note even one meal a day! - that the housekeepers, despite being asked not to do so, kept changing towels and sheets too often - that the whole staff is very little concerned about saving nature and environment We also think that the sharing of tasks should be reviewed, the staff shouldn't wash the dishes with soap under running hot water before putting them in the dishwasher and wipe them again afterwards (!), the cook shouldn't have to clean the kitchen, pots and so on, the 2 other ladies would have plenty of time to do so! A laundress is certainly not necessary, especially if sheets and towels wouldn't be changed so often. Who does this at home? Their working hours should be reviewed. Impossible to have a cooked breakfast before the arrival of the cook at 9, and then she does the pots/stove from the night before! Impossible to have a proper dinner cooked, served and the kitchen cleaned with someone very slow working from 5 to 8 pm. Cooking, eating and cleaning cannot be achieved in 3 hours! We ended up cooking, cleaning, etc., ourselves and gave the afternoon off to the staff many days! Impossible to have 3 meals between 9 am and 8 pm, including preparation , eating and cleaning!

“Unforgettably Great Holiday” Overall experience was excellent, We have stayed in the Enterprise beach area before and absolutely loved it. But staying at Palisades 6a was bringing the experience to another level. Arriving to this villa after a long haul flight all very tired, we were picked up on time by the pre-arranged mini bus taxi. After only 15 minutes drive we arrived at the Palisades. Greeted at the property by a warm welcome from Laura our friendly Property administrator. The villa was very clean and beautifully prepared with all our pre-ordered shopping stacked neatly on the shelves and in the fridge. Laura clearly explained all the facilities and details of the property. Overall the villa was of a very high standard and very tastefully decorated with lots of small details which made it look homely, candles, nice individual pieces of furniture etc. whilst still feeling slick and quite contemporary. The villa was also very quiet with no disturbance from road noise etc. One item we would like to add is it would have been good to have window and door bars fitted so we could open the windows more to take advantage of the nice breezes rather than rely on the a/C. The views from the master and front bedroom are simply stunning and quite mesmerising. Literally a stones through away from Cotton Bay beach, which we enjoyed many a morning stroll or run and swim. Then only 10 minutes walk to Enterprise beach and 20 minutes walk to Oistins. This area and property really is the perfect location and very suited to families and young children. We bumped into many people we had met here before on previous holidays and everyone was happy and really enjoying their stay in Barbados. We particularly enjoyed eating and having a sun downer drink or cocktail at the communal club house on the cliff right above Cotton Bay. We often cooked and bought over the food to this facility and had some of the best view of the ocean and South coast. Even before we left we already started talking about returning.

“Anniversary Get away x” Would just like to give a massive thanks to Sheila for an amazing accommodation for myself and my wife to spend our 7th year wedding anniversary, also would like to give a mention to Ron who greeted us with open arms and made our stay a comfortable one, where can I start, Barbados is already like a second home to us from our very first visit, from the beautiful beaches just a minutes walk away down the lane, to the amazing culture of Oistins, the friendly fun buses that took us around the Island for just a few dollars. While we stayed in Barbados a family member was married here and believe me it will be a memory that stays with me for a life time, it was great to have the Shelsea just a stones throw away, to come back to an amazing Villa that just had the feeling of coming back home, spacious, stylish and well maintained, ha speaking of that hope we didn't get the gardener to drunk as he shared a glass of rum with us. An action packed, yet very relaxing stay for us at the Shelsea, a great hammock in the garden of Shelsea for that relaxing afternoon nap, after touring the Island, there are so many things I could recommend for people to do, Turtle swimming, Rockley Golf Club, Harrison Caves, Boat Trips and many, many more. Thanks again Shelia for a fabulous stay at your beautiful home, we will definitely be returning in the very near future x

“Vacation Stay” I enjoyed my stay tremendously. The accommodations gave me the feeling that I was at still at home. I found that all of the amenities made my stay very comfortable and relaxing. The view from my room was breathtaking especially at night along with the sweet tropical breeze that came along with the view. I am looking forward the spending some more time at this location because of the enjoyment that I experienced.
