Description
A Casa do Souto é uma casa típica do Norte, em granito. Situa-se em Aldreu, uma aldeia do distrito de Braga, na lindíssima região do Minho.
Aldreu é um local tranquilo, perto de praias e de locais cheios de história tais como Braga, Barcelos, Viana do Castelo, Guimarães, Porto, Ponte de Lima e a região espanhola da Galiza. Nas redondezas, os visitantes podem ter acesso à prática do golfe, hipismo, surf, remo, vela e canoagem.
A casa tem três quartos, dois duplos e um outro com duas camas individuais. Um dos quartos tem casa de banho privativa, adaptada a pessoas com mobilidade reduzida. Existe uma segunda casa de banho, uma cozinha totalmente equipada e uma sala comum de estar e de jantar. É uma casa ideal para seis pessoas, embora possa acolher oito, pois existe um sofá-cama para duas pessoas.
A vasta área exterior possui mobiliário, zona de refeição e de estar, guarda-sóis, sombras naturais, baloiço, escorrega e uma pequena piscina para crianças.
Disponibilizam-se alguns jogos, livros, bicicletas e informação sobre a região.
A casa tem aquecimento, recuperador a lenha, berço, bicicletas e lugar de estacionamento.
O local está perto de lojas, restaurantes, hospitais, piscinas públicas e cafés. A autoestrada A28 fica a oito quilómetros e o aeroporto Sá Carneiro a cinquenta e dois. Há uma estação de caminho-de-ferro a sete quilómetros.
A casa está decorada com objetos do artesanato local e nacional.

“Above and beyond”
We just returned from spending 12 days in Casa do Souto and it was simply perfect for our needs. House, pool, garden was immaculate and our 3 children had a fantastic time in the pool every chance they got. Some wonderful villages close by for day trips. My favourite was Ponte Da Lima , some fantastic beaches and wonderful local cuisine. Tapas in Aldreu for daily fresh rolls and croissants. The owner Maria was simply the best host I have ever experienced, so generous and kind and thoughtful even cooking dinner one evening for us which was delicious. A very intelligent and interesting well travelled lady whom we thoroughly enjoyed chatting too. Maria was so respectful of your privacy yet always on hand if you needed anything. If you are looking for a rural setting yet close to a lot of interesting villages and the beach and a very comfortable base then Casa do Souto has it all.
