Additional Location Information

Along with Goldsborough View & Lonin Cottage Howgill Cottage is the third property on this complex. It is a very popular romantic retreat with many returning guests year upon year.
The area is quiet & peaceful. There is no background noise as in towns & cities, just birdsong or, in late spring or summer, lambs calling for mum.
There are lovely walks straight from the site including the Pennine Way nearby. There are also lots of local places to see such as High & low Force & walks long the Tees riverbank or the Teesdale Railway Walk.
Our local towns & villages offer great pubs, good food & shops for anything you may need. Further afield but within an hour or so's drive there are The Yorkshire Dales (Swaledale & Wensleydale). Hadrians Wall. The northern Lake District (Ullswater, Keswick etc). The North Yorks Moors. The Eden Valley & lots more.
There is ample free parking on our private car park.
