Peaceful Riverside B & B At Milford Mill
MILFORD MILL has been resting in this beautiful Shropshire countryside since before Domesday.
We are here to give you comfort, relaxation and service. Enjoy large rooms, kingsize beds and generous breakfasts. There are only 500 inhabited watermills in the whole of Britain and, naturally, not many of those offer you accommodation, so take this unique opportunity to enjoy our historic home and the romance of the riverside.
We welcome children and well-behaved pets are accepted by prior arrangement.(though the latter may not go upstairs.)
Single room may be available for 11-18s accompanying an adult booking.
Enjoy fishing on our 1/4 mile of riverbank or wild swimming in the Mill Pool, horse-riding, cycling and touring. Stroke the goats, feed the ducks, admire the swans, wildlife and glimpse the resident kingfishers and otters, if you are lucky!
Residents' lounge with log stove, flatscreen television and freeview. Log fires and fresh flowers in season.
PYO damsons, quince, medlar, mulberry, apples, plums, greengages in season. Browse, borrow or buy from our large library.
We have easy access and ample and secure parking.
Because of the access to the river, children should always be accompanied in the garden.
We request guests to observe our no smoking policy. Guests are asked to arrive after 4.3O pm and to vacate their rooms by 1O.3O am. or by arrangement.
Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements and we will be pleased to help. Because it is freshly, home-produced, our Menu is subject to change and availability. We are proud that the meat we serve is free range, outdoor reared and sourced from local Shropshire and border county farms. Our aim is to use excellent quality, locally sourced ingredients to create good value, classic British cuisine. One of our local suppliers is Moor Farm, Baschurch. Their Breakfast sausages, which we will serve you, were awarded Shropshire's Tastiest breakfast sausage with a Gold Award.
Picnics and Evening meals available with notice as all is homemade to order. Vegetarians pampered. Indulge yourself at excellent local country pubs and restaurants. We can recommend visits to Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and numerous nearby National Trust Homes and Gardens.
