“Excellent, a taste of real France and completely unique!” Just in case you are thinking of paying a visit to Bayeux, be it for the Tapestry or the World War Two landings beaches, we can definately recommend Manoir Saint Hubert on the outskirts of Bayeux. Be prepared for an unbelievable encounter with a majestic house filled with 15th century furniture and an overall grand appearance. Absolutely well maintained and clean, en suite facilities in a quiet area. Wake up in the morning to the nearby Church bell and excellent breakfast served at a long dining table that would have suited a King. Indeed the lady who serves it is a descendant of one of William of Orange's Knights and if you ask she will surely show you an ancient family tree to prove it! Only a short walk into the town centre are Bayeux's Cathedral and many restaurants and it is just a short drive to see the Bayeux Tapestry or the beaches. We found this place fascinating and thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay.

“3 days in Normandy” The castle was a great location for the Normandy tours we took. Very clean, Bathrooms and Bedrooms all nice and worth the price of admission! Private gate to enter and you can cook in the kitchen or just hire a person to cook. We had 3 great breakfasts for a very reasonable price and we even cooked one night ourselves! We only had 6 adults but the castle could handle many more. Castle has great internet service and flat screen Tv's with DVD players. Very hot showers and you can even use the washing machine and dryer if necessary. Bikes available to ride and a ping-pong table too. It's like your own 4 star hotel! Normandy is definitely a place to put on your "Bucket List" Arnaud whose family owns the place is a wonderful man and met us one evening and showed us the room where the Wwii treaties were signed.

“wonderfull place to spend time” my wife and i spent a week here in may 2013,and have to say its the best place in france that we have visisted, we brought along our six year old grandson who absolutely loved it here. plenty of walks around the grounds and along the trout stream, playing poo sticks in the stream with my wife gillian. being able flying his little helicopter in the grassy field behind the gite and fishing the beautiful lake, watching grandad catch loads of big carp. the lake is very productive, you just wont stop catching double figure fish. accomodation is wonderfull and very tastefully arranged, all you can ask for from a holiday gite. ideally located between to small villages where to can buy all your needs. the owners, allan and josie are lovely people, very helpful and friendly. id recomend la chatouillette to everyone, as you wont find a better.

Amazing Time At The Manoir St. Hubert

My husband and I along with our 14 year old son spent a lovely time at the Manoir St. Hubert just last week (July 2014). Madame Yseult is the most charming and welcoming host with a wealth of information and ideas to help us explore the lovely region of Normandy. Breakfast was a treat each morning with an array of fruit, cereals, and breads with lovely jam. The warm coffee and tea helped us start each day right. The Manoir itself is set in a charming village within walking distance to Bayeaux and all of it's attractions. I already miss the morning bells ringing from the church that awakened us to begin the day. The bedrooms on the 2nd floor (3rd for Americans) were so cozy and relaxing. My son had the second bedroom on the floor with two twin beds and I would go inside and read among the quiet shadows drawn from the open window. The main bedroom was adorned with all the characteristics of an 18th century mansion and I felt drawn back in time. The bathroom was pristine and modernized with all of the amenities one needs. We explored all of the D-day beaches and (upon recommendation) we visited Port Le Hoc. It was an easy drive (and thank you to. Madame for the short cut advice on getting there) to Le Mont St. Michel and St. Malo. We explored small villages and all with thanks to our amazing host. Our entire stay at Manoir St. Hubert was the highlight of the trip and we will miss little Figaro and his feline friend. We cannot thank Madame enough and hope to come again to the beautiful region of Normandy and stay at the Manoir. -The Padilla Familysee more
D'DAY NORMANDY LUXURY RENTAL CHATEAU.POOL & TENNIS
Chateau de Servigny during Christmas 2014

The chateau is a great place to gather family or friends for holidays or events. Our Norwegian-French family of three generations, stayed for 7 nights in Chateau de Servigny, during Christmas, from 21. – 28. dec. 2014. Fifteen persons, eight adults and seven children (from 3-17), had a «once-of-a-life-time»-experience here, and we will remember this forever. The 8 bedrooms - each different from the other – all included toilet and bath, and apart from some of the beds being a bit too short for long Norwegians, they were all very nicely furnished and convenient. The castle offered multiple opportunities for all ages; piano, chess, TV, DVD’s, ping-pong, baby-foot, biking (for both children and adults) and tennis - or just a run or walk in the surrounding park. The small castle/play house in the park amazed the smaller kids. We would love to come back during summer time to try the swimming pool too! The family de Pontac has created a fantastic place to gather people for the extraordinary happenings, and with good taste in all details (colors, tapestry, furniture, curtains) and knowledge they have managed to create an authentic and yet practical place to stay. The kitchen was quite well equipped, but as we wanted to prepare all the meal ourselves (having a Chef in the family), extra casseroles etc. were needed. In the fantastic dining room beside the kitchen, we enjoyed our meals all gathered around the table. On Christmas Eve, we even used the small chapel in the park behind the chateau. This was a magical moment with candles, singing and some of the children playing the flute. The only thing we really missed, especially during this cold season, was the ability to use the fireplaces around in the house. We believe it would be a good idea to make this possible, especially in the dining room. Thank you for a memorable and magic Christmas holiday for our family!see more
