A great warm and cozy farmhouse property. The kitchen was huge well stocked and the Aga a treat. BUt the jewel were the owners, nothing was too much trouble - eggs delivered and milk. But the attention they gave my boys is not forgotton - animals and tractors - a great combination.

Blissful stay in cosy country cottage

Left on Feb 13, 2011 for a stay in June 2010

A warm welcome from Mrs Trafford and the family made our arrival easy to this lovely country cottage for two. Based near the main farmhouse and farmyard there is always plenty to see such as the ducks waddling by to the stream and the hens running around. The cottage itself is excellent for a couple to stay with all the amenities we required, a well designed kitchen and bathroom. The lounge is…

Perfect cottage for anyone wanting a break away from it all. Situated on a working farm, the only neighbours were the cows. Lovely and clean and cosy, all you need is there. And the owner Brenda is one of the nicest people I have ever met. Very kind and helpful. Allonby itself is a small village but the beaches are great for dog walks. Would definitely like to return again some day.
