“Fabro apartment in Belize City” I stayed at this wonderful place for 11 days in December 2013-January 2014 with my wife, 2 adult children, their spouses and grandchild. This a spacious 3 bedroom place fully equipped. Living room, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. Every room is large and functional. The owners had all the small items available so that once you walk into the apartment, it is totally ready to use. Soap in every bathroom, 10 full bath towels, ample spare linens, cooking pots and pans, plates and cutlery. There is an accessible washer and dryer, which is needed because Belize is covered with slick mud and clothes are frequently soiled. Security is very strong, gated yard and dogs on the premises. Garage available to the renters. The owners live upstairs, and are very helpful, frequently stopping by and asking if we needed anything. I felt totally comfortable knocking on their door anytime I had a question. Internet was fast and always available via wifi. I really needed/ wanted nothing when I stayed there. For an extended stay this provided us a base to explore the many nice sites in Belize, and the opportunity for some of us to go out exploring and others to 'stay home' with the young child. It is 5-10 minute walk to the water taxis to the Cayes. It is a 1 minute walk to the old central business district where every commodity is available. We rented a car and drove out to Mayan ruins, nature parks and remote beaches daily. Belize is small enough that every site is a day trip. I loved the place, and felt totally at home within a few minutes of arriving. I could not imagine a better place to base an exploration of Belize from.
