Description from the manager
Construction Note: Please note that there is construction next door to this villa. Villa Tara will experience noise, depending on what work is being done at the time. Please enquire with one of our Villa Specialists for further details.
Beautifully designed in the West Indian style and very well equipped, Tara sits at the end of a tranquil neighborhood road for excellent seclusion. Overlooking lovely sea views and perfectly sited to refreshing trade winds, this four-pavilion property is arranged hillside in a private garden setting. From the parking area, a staircase leads up to Tara's generous terrace and to the pool.
Tara's first pavilion, on the west side of the pool and terrace, is outfitted as a romantic air conditioned king suite with a four-poster canopy bed, TV and DVD player, a large balcony and an alfresco stone shower. The larger main pavilion on the opposite side of the pool and terrace comprises the Great Room where you can snuggle into the overstuffed couches and watch your favorite TV programs or listen to music through the Bose surround sound system.
Just outside the great room is a breezy covered outdoor living area overlooking ocean vistas. This wraparound verandah also borders the superbly equipped gourmet kitchen, which opens out to the pool terrace. Here you'll find a thatched tiki bar, the perfect spot for those island rum cocktails. Adjoining the great room on the east side is a covered garden pavilion with a fountain, set for dining with views through arched windows of the sparkling sea beyond.
The third pavilion is just off the dining terrace. It has an air conditioned office equipped with a computer with DSL line and a printer/scanner/fax. A queen sofa bed shares space within this office/study. The adjoining bathroom then connects directly to Tara's second air conditioned queen bedroom suite, which opens to a private deck and small garden just outside. Tara's fourth pavillion, an air conditioned king suite with its own balcony, is just to the northernmost side and has an exotic alfresco stone shower.

All good. While some of us would prefer being in Virgin Gorda this made the most sense for us given the age of my parents and our/their ability to get around. Tara was a very well opppointed villa with everything we needed. Lynn Johnston our island host was terrific and very supportive. - Ted W., Maryland, USA

We loved our time at Tara on Tortola. It is a beautiful home and we enjoyed it every night with the two other couples. Thank you for helping us arrange our vacation.\nWe just had a few issues while we were there...\n1) Shower in third bedroom not having any hot water so we shared showers.\n2) Sauna not working. We were told after we booked the villa that this was not working and we are wondering if we were going to receive a credit regarding this issue.\n3) Air conditioner unit...we had to reprogram the remote every time we used it.\n4) The oven looked fabulous but we needed the stovetop at the same time and it was too confusing switching over the gas to the oven, so we just grilled the pizza.\n5) We flipped the breaker in the fuse box since we assumed this was the reason why the electrical appliances did not work on one side of the kitchen...however the dishwasher still did not work.\nNothing could have ruined our vacation but I just wanted to let you know these issues!
