Cohoba House is an impressive four-bedroom villa located within the desirable Belmont Estate on Tortola's north-western coast. The property, set in beautifully tended terraced gardens, stands on an attractive hillside, and benefits from wonderful ocean views over the beaches at Long Bay and Smuggler's Cove, as well as the outlying islands of Jost Van Dyke and Sandy Cay, among others.
This exquisitely elegant house, which consists of three individual pavilions, is reached via a wide, sloping driveway. The main pavilion houses a magnificent living area with a cathedral-style ceiling and a number of imposingly high and heavy louvered wooden doors, which when open allow in even more light. The building has been 'wired for sound' throughout, and guests are able to enjoy music both inside the villa and in the outside spaces. Between the living room and the kitchen is an indoor BBQ area - quite unique, and beyond doubt a very useful and attractive feature of the house. The kitchen itself is equipped with all the appliances that even the most enthusiastic cook could possibly desire.
Next to the kitchen is a sophisticated formal dining room furnished with a heavy wooden circular table, with seating for up to eight guests in style and comfort. The room is decorated using original sculpture and a number of other artworks. To the rear of the dining room is an outdoor seating area with mature and attractive tropical plants in large ceramic containers. This area is perfect for guests seeking a little peace and quiet. A convenient cloakroom is located at the end of this pavilion, together with an exterior door that opens to the side of the property, and an outdoor shower for washing off sand when returning from the beach.
The king-sized master bedroom is reached via a staircase ascending from the end of the main pavilion. Beautifully equipped with dark wooden furniture and sumptuous linens, and decorated in calming colors throughout, the bedroom is a relaxing haven, with stunning ocean views. The en suite contemporary bathroom has twin washbasins and a large walk-in shower stall, with a large window in the latter allowing still more ocean views. Two of the guest bedroom pavilions, again with king-sized beds, are located to the east of the main living pavilion. Both are luxuriously spacious but at the same time very private, and like the master bedroom have exquisite bathrooms and showers. The third bedroom, set a little further eastward, has private seating areas, one just outside the bedroom, the other adjacent but incorporated within the flora of the lush, green hillside surrounding the property. The fourth bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, is on the lower level of the main pavilion. This is a little less spacious than the other three, but furnished and decorated to an equally high standard. Next to this fourth bedroom is the laundry room with washer/dryer and ice-maker - conveniently placed to fill the coolers before heading to the beach, rather than hauling the coolers up to the kitchen.
The outdoor space at Cohoba is idyllic, spanning nearly the entire width of the villa. There is a generously proportioned sparkling pool bordered by a large deck space. A very comfortable seating area is situated under the covered verandah, together with an impressive dining table easily seating up to eight guests. A large, cushioned daybed at the end of the verandah is the perfect spot for reading, relaxing, or simply taking a well-deserved nap.
Cohoba House is pretty special. Impressively proportioned outside, and inside beautifully furnished and decorated throughout. A lot of thought has gone in to choosing tasteful and relaxing colors, and as a result it's so comfortable and peaceful that I know I would be delighted to be able to spend a week or two enjoying all that it has to offer. I love the choice of original artwork used throughout the property, particularly the painting in the guest bedroom. The subject is nothing more remarkable than a seagull, but the moment you see it you'll know what I mean! The bedrooms are well spaced out so that all guests can enjoy maximum privacy if they so wish, and the property has the added benefit that it's not overlooked by any others. The living areas and outdoor spaces are wonderful places for family and friends to get together, enjoying dinner on the verandah, and all the time enjoying the spectacular ocean views. The villa is just a short drive (about five minutes) from the pristine beaches at Long Bay and Smuggler's Cove - the latter offers good snorkeling - and both stores and restaurants can also be found close by.
Cohoba House is new to the rental market, and has been very competitively priced. Indeed, based on eight guests sharing, Cohoba House can be enjoyed from as little as $90 per person per night. I am sure that as a result of that, and also its many other amenities, this villa will be very much sought after.
Additional amenities include: beach chairs, media library, books & games, a professional chef can be engaged to prepare meals at cohoba house or inquire about pre-prepped meals, 42" and 24" flat screen direct TV's, at extra cost: rental vehicle, food processor, coffee maker, groceries can be stocked at cohoba house prior to your arrival, ipod docks, crib, pre-paid cell phone, bath tub, private massages, shower, iron/ironing board, pack n play, taxi services, spa services and beauty treatments, ice maker, entertainment system, ac central,

Cohoba House is a wonderful place to stay while on Tortola. The location is fantastic as it is very close to two great beaches (Smuggler\'s Cove and Long Bay beach) and Soper\'s Hole, and the house\'s position in Belmont offers incredible views. It is impossible not to feel completely relaxed upon arrival. The house itself is beautiful and very well-appointed - everyone in my group felt that their expectations were far exceeded. The pool and patio areas are a wonderful place to spend a morning or evening and we were amazed to find such a well-stocked kitchen! We will almost certainly return in 2013. Many thanks to Greg and Anne!

Cohoba House is a beautiful villa perched privately on the west end of Tortola with magnificent views from every angle of the property. It is stylishly decorated and impeccably kept. The bedrooms locations all have private entrances. It\'s very discreet but perfectly located a short drive from Soper\'s Hole. I highly recommend, we had a fantastic time without a single complaint.

This spring we visited Cohobo House for the second time with our college-age daughter and several of her friends as our guests. The house was ideal, with lovely, large family spaces where we could all be together and equally lovely private spaces where we could have \"down time.\" The house is wonderfully managed and beautifully appointed; I am sure if we could have thought of something we needed it would have been supplied immediately. The girls chose a different beach every day, including those on Virgin Gourda and Jost van Dyke. The house\'s proximity to the ferry at Soper\'s Hole made this a breeze for us. Long Bay and Smuggler\'s Cove, both a short distance from the house, were also easily accessible. As for us, we just enjoyed sitting by the pool, reading, relaxing and taking in the spectacular views. Our breaks at Cohobo House have been among the best vacations of our lives. We absolutly plan to return for a third time!

We just returned from a wonderful week at Cohoba House and missing it already. Cohoba is a fabulous home and our vacation on Tortola could not have been finer! The property was clean and beautiful when we arrived, and the views of the surrounding islands are some of the best on the island. The web site photos just can not capture the beauty of this place! The glass tiled pool was perfect to keep us cool all day long. The kitchen was perfect for cooking, and we enjoyed many nice dinners on the deck and veranda. The lush landscaping provided great privacy, yet we were only minutes from Sopper\'s Hole and many restaurants and beaches. Our party of 8 each had our separate bedroom suites, and because they were in separate buildings, we all had total privacy, while enjoying easy access to the pool and common areas. We loved this design concept, which gave us maximum flexibility. Tortola was also perfect....there is no other Caribbean island like it! The people are friendly, the dining is exceptional, and the beaches and snorkeling are the best we have ever seen. Be sure to check out Jost Van Dyke! Charles the caretaker is a sweetheart and dealing with the owner, Greg was so pleasant. It was simply our BEST Caribbean vacation ever!

After extensive searching, we chose to stay at the Cohoba house for our honeymoon this spring, and what a great decision! Greg and Anne\'s home is absolutely stunning. The views are outstanding in every direction, and the house is set up very well for outdoor living. I love to cook, and the kitchen literally had just about everything you could ask for. The music system was probably our favorite part of the house. Who doesn\'t want to lounge in the pool overlooking the surrounding islands with a cold drink and some great music? The setting of the house is completely secluded and private, but also close to Long Bay and Sopper\'s Hole. Belmont Estates is a great area to take long walks up around the winding, quiet roads and just take in the beauty of the island. I don\'t think we could have chosen a better place to stay, and the groundskeeper, Charles, is simply wonderful! We will definitely be back, but with friends in tow next time!
