Guest Reviews: "There are 16 in our family now and it is difficult to gather in one of our homes for an extended period of time. We wanted a place that would be comfortable for all of us for four nights with all of the necessities required for meals, recreation, etc. We were not concerned about the fact that we were not right in Sunriver. We most liked the fact that the bonus room was separate from the main living area and served as a place for the younger kids to entertain themselves. The kitchen was perfect for our needs and seating was very adequate. Would we go again? You bet!" - Larry & Linda

We had a party of 12 and it accommodated us fine. Perfect house for a large group with kids. It was in the 90s and the house stayed cool. Outside of the resort area but still close enough to the facilities. We will be back.
This home is on the river which means mosquitoes and other insects are around and probably a bit more so than homes not on the river. Remember to bring your bug spray not only when staying on the water but it is just a good idea when traveling.
We have not had any other issues related to insects being a problem in the actual house which tells me the bites were picked up while outside playing.

The location was the best part of this property. The river views were beautiful. The neighbors (the ones without the large dog) were great and let our kids ride on the rope swings. Bring you own towels as there are not enough. Also, kitchen gear, paper towels and garbage bags are not plentiful either. it would have been great to have had some "toys" available such as bikes and kayacks but I think that the owners locked them up in the garage. The beer bottle collection, in the kitchen, was a dust collector. The house seemed roomy and held our two families great--there were 11 of us. Definately worth the price as compared to the Sunriver homes!

We rented this property for a family group stay. It was perfect as it had multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, large kitchen, and a deck on the back. There was also a very large game room above the garage that worked great for the kids. Couple of the down sides is that there is no air conditioning and only one ceiling fan in the vaulted living room. The rest of the house, and especially the upstairs rooms, get very warm. Some upgrades could be made on the housekeeping as sheets and blankets had been washed together so they appeared dirty from all of the lint--we also had to purchase a can opener as the one in the home didn't work. Bikes would be a great addition, too.

This was a great vacation cabin. Our large group had plenty of room to spread out & didn't feel cramped. The views of the Deschuttes River from the newly built back deck was so peaceful. We lived it so much we booked it again for a family vacation later in the summer. Can't wait to go back.

The house had great spaces but the beds were really uncomfortable and for the price I thought there were missing amenities - including having higher quality dishes, cutlery, sheets etc. We woke up sore every morning. We were disappointed with the lack of notification we received regarding the flooding of the riverbed which meant out front grassy area was flooded as well. The rental has great potential and would be improved by increasing the size of the deck and adding a hot tub, fencing the south side of the property so there's more privacy from the neighbors and keeps the neighbors dog out of the yard - who wasn't very friendly. I think it would be great to have some bicycles for guests to use considering this is a major activity in the area. We loved the high ceilings and the ease of river access - where you can float for 15 minutes around the corner and just take a quick 3 minute walk back to the house.
This home is very fairly priced and includes many great amenities. As advertised, the home is situated on the Deschutes River which is regulated by a dam. At various times through out the year the dam is opened or closed releasing regulated amounts of water as needed. There is no set schedule for this activity. The home sits well back from the banks to ensure safety and comply with county rules & regulations and yet close enough that you are able to enjoy the beauty and fun that the River has to offer. ~Management
