Perfect home for a family of 6. Plenty of room and very well kept. Easy walk to the Old Mill District. Had 3 small kids who love the house. They have lots of board games and movies for the kids. The town has plenty of good restaurants and markets. Will return again soon. Thanks for a wonderful time.

This home is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. Everything about it made us feel right at home. It is well furnished with a great layout. The location was a perfect home base for all of our spring break activities of hiking, golfing, shopping, movie going and dining. Richard and anne made our trip a breeze. They've thought of everything. From great communication prior to our arrival to the extra stock of amenities in the house. Everything was awesome! We'd love to come back for another stay.

Salmon lodge is a beautifully designed and appointed space conveniently located near most anything you want to do in Bend. The host was gracious and helpful. We tried snowshoeing on Mt Batchelor, sampled a few local breweries, hiked, played golf and of course had some great meals.

This is a very comfortable home in near the Old Mill district in Bend. The furnishings and appliances are relatively new and high quality. The home itself features and open floor plan and three bedrooms. The bed upstairs in the master is exceptionally comfortable. There are three baths and the only negative I could possibly offer is the location of the shower heads in the hall and downstairs baths. But that is a trivial matter and did not diminish our visit one iota. Plentiful towels, warm blankets, clean linens (in great condition) and plentiful cooking tools are all there. Frankly, I just would be happy living right there as my forever home. But it was treat and an experience I hope to enjoy again and again. Read more
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at our Bend vacation home. We appreciate suggestions, and agree the shower heads in two of the showers were positioned a little toward the corner of the space. So we recently installed deluxe dual shower head systems with slides in all three baths. You now have your choice of using either shower head, and in the case of the two walk-in showers, the new handheld shower head is now centered.

Beautiful townhome located conveniently to the Mill District shopping area full of great restaurants and up-scale shopping. Close to downtown as well. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-equiped and the living space perfect for the six of us who stayed. Would highly recommend this rental.

We used the home to accommodate our out of town sales people for our annual sales meeting and it worked perfectly. The location and layout of the home were just right for our needs. The owners were extremely easy to work with and we were very pleased with the overall experience.

Everything was set up beautifully, any thing you could possibly need was provided. Great location, the townhouse is a short walk to food ,shops, and park. The only problem we had was the fold out bed was too uncomfortable to actually sleep on. Our kids that drew the short straw ,only made it one night, and chose to return to their bed in Portland for our second night of renting.
I would say it comfortably sleeps 6-7. Read more
We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay at the Salmon Lodge. The house includes one king bed in the master bedroom, two queens in the second and third bedrooms, a twin futon bed in the loft, and a fold-out queen sofa in the living room. You are right; the fold-out queen sofe is most comfortable for kids or younger teens. We do not recommend it for older teens or adults. So we advertise the home as sleeping 6 to 9.

Our group was 2 couples and 1 single adult. The Salmon Lodge was located a 5 minute walk above the Old Mill District and on a very quiet street. The owners left out nothing in the planning of guest in their home! From the time we walked into the Salmon Lodge we were amazed at how much it felt like home. We were in town for my husband to compete in the Leadman 250 and I would highly recommend anyone participating in the event to stay here in the future. We were able to see him at every transition and even managed to get in some beer tastings in between.

This is one of the nicest vacation rentals we've used. It was comfortable, attractive and in a great location. We loved walking down to the Old Mill District and along the river. Although the master and another bedroom are upstairs, which could be problematical for some, it wasn't an issue for us. Bend is a great place to visit because there is so much to do and the restaurants and pubs are top notch. We will be returning soon.

This house was just perfect. There were only 4 of us (2 couples) so we had more than enough space. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. The two other bedrooms had full bathrooms just across the hall. One of them was located on the ground floor. The master and 2nd bedroom were upstairs. The kitchen is very large and well equipped and the seating at the table and counter bar could fit plenty of people. The living room was very comfortable and cozy and I wish it had been cool enough to use the fireplace. We appreciated that there was salt and pepper and assorted left over spices as well as condiments such as ketchup/mustard. I realize that the owner doesn't supply these but it's nice that they were left behind for subsequent guests. The entire house was very clean and well cared for and everything looked fairly new and in good condition. The canoes looked like they'd be fun to use but we had no way to transport them to water. Richard was great to work with and responded very quickly to all our queries. I would definitely recommend this location and would love to return. Bed is a great town for anyone who enjoys outdoor activities. We hiked multiple trails, visited the High Desert Museum, Newberry National Volcanic Monument (make sure to check out the Big Obsidian Flow), walked the Lava River Cave, visited Todd Lake and Sparks Lake and several other trails and rented Kayaks to paddle around on the river down town. All of which I'd recommend. We purchased the Bend, Overall 99 hikes book in town. It was very useful to help narrow down where we wanted to go. We ate at Spork, Zydeco and 900Wall and had dessert at Bend d'Vine. All of them had great food (and offered gluten free options). It was all great fun and I'd love to return. You can walk to downtown from the house as long as you don't mind walking down (and up) quite a few stairs.

We had the opportunity to stay in Bend and reside at the Salmon Lodge for five weeks this summer. The townhouse is well equipped with everything you need for a stay, is a few blocks from shopping, the Descutes River, and great restaurants. The sunsets from the second floor patio are quite amazing! This is a great place for two couples and a pet or two. The layout of the home ensures privacy for two families for sleeping and a small gated, grassy area for the dogs right out the kitchen door. Richard Penny was a pleasure to work with. We felt very comfortable in our home away from home!
