Tucked into a forested cul-de-sac this is a modern, 4 bedroom wooded delight!
Description from the manager
Tall Timber is decorated to compliment where it sits amongst tall pines and a small herd of deer. Natures colors and tones have been embraced to create a sense of why you are here: the outdoors. Tall Timbers secluded shelter offers four bedrooms, a large dining area, a fireplace, and open living area for everyone to gather. The kitchen is well supplied with stock & crock-pots, and plenty of dishes for up to 12 people. There are many tools for a chef to do their magic or use the Coleman barbecue for summer creations with the seating for 8+ on the spacious back deck. A fenced backyard has been kept natural to continue the natural theme. One dog allowed. We ask that there be no digging or barking to disturb the deer and natural habitat. One bedroom on the main floor with comfortable sofa sleeper. Upstairs there are three additional bedrooms: one full and twin, a queen with an electric mattress cover and king bed in the master bedroom that includes an en-suite bath and walk-in closet. The master bath includes both a shower and soaking tub. After a full night's sleep and morning coffee on the back deck, plan to ride bikes across the street to Phils Trail, or take a left onto Century Drive to ski, kayak, hike, or play golf at Widgi Creek, just one mile up the road. Please note: this is a home for quiet visits only.

The house is great for about 8 people while it can accommodate up to 12. It was a bit cramped for 10. The backyard and deck were awesome. Loved the setting. It was unusually hot this year and the house does not have AC. It cooled down great at night. Parking is a challenge if you have a group coming from different locations. 4 Regular size vehicles fit fine.
Yes, July has been the warm one!! Thank you for being understanding with the A/C. Most of us do not have A/C, yet new weather is making things a different story. The night cool is KEY! Dont forget to use the garage next time to get two more spaces, yet the big trucks can make it drvieway only. Please come back next year, ask for the A/C and remember the 10% off for return guests! Thank you for staying with us this year, hope to see you the next HDC! Sue

Quiet neighborhood, great proximity to good cycling, both on the road and on the trails. House had ample space for everyone to sleep and relax in, large garage was excellent for bikes. Clean and comfortable. BBQ was a nice bonus.
Thanks so much for this review. Tall Timber is perfect for cycling for sure. Winter time close to
skiing as well! Return for next year's event! Thank you for staying with us.

"Nice Home in Nice Neighborhood But Felt Like a Sauna on a Hot Da"
Left on 07/20/2013 for a stay in June 2013 | Stella D.Reviewed Jul 20, 2013Stayed Jun 2013
We stayed at Tall Timbers with Dutch Vacation rentals. The house was nice and as described in a quiet neighborhood. We presumed that it would have air conditioning and it did not (it was not advertised with air conditioning but I assumed that it would have a/c given that it was a summer rental in Bend). It was a 90+ degree weekend. The thermostat box did not work due to having low batteries so we put in new ones. We could not get the house to cool off and it felt like a sauna in the afternoon and evening. Luckily it had a nice deck and we stayed there. It was so hot at night that I tried to sleep on the floor near the window.
One of the men in the group was a construction manager and he could not figure out the heating/cooling system. That really was the worst of it. When I discussed this with the Dutch rental manager, I was told that it was not advertised with a/c. True. I was also told that if we put it on "cool" that it can pull heat up from under the house! Who would know this? There were no instructions on the thermostat in regards to this. The manager in response said that while visiting the unit it was "as cool as a cucumber". We felt discredited by this remark, as though we did not know what we were talking about. We are all retired managers who are not complainers.
We also explained that the lock box was defective and needed multiple, multiple tries in order to have it open. We were told that it opened on the first try and, again, we felt discredited. The tone of the interaction did not feel good to me.
More minor problems were no light bulbs in some bedroom lamps and a poorly functioning kitchen sink faucet mechanism.
Additionally, we had been scheduled to stay in another more expensive home and the rental company cancelled that due to septic repair. However, my credit card was not credited until I brought this to the company's attention over a month later.
We have responded to your postings on Yelp, so no need to continue here. Tall Timber's stays have been delighted with the accommodations, we have at several approaches, phone etc. repsonded to your complaints. At this point it becomes some disappointing to see the spirit of your complaints take on as they have taken on an some nature of apprearing over and over. We feel we offered all we could as an explanation; several times, and wish you nothing but the best of things! Sincerely.

"Great location and beautiful deck"
Left on 06/19/2013 for a stay in June 2013 | Krissy M.Reviewed Jun 19, 2013Stayed Jun 2013
We rented Tall Timber along with Trailhead down the street for a baseball tournament. Tall Timber had ample seating for both groups to enjoy meals together (our breakfast on the deck was beautiful on our first day of tournament play)! Nice quiet spot in a cul-de-sac in a beautiful neighborhood, and close to Old Mill and nearby Safeway store for food runs. Downstairs bedroom is a sofa bed, one of the upstairs rooms is a double and a twin. We made it work for our group, but that might be important to note if couples are looking at the house. Great trip, and we all loved the house!
Hi Michael:I hope the cycling team placed well. None the less, I am sure you enjoyed the location to Century Drive and Mt. Washington, Reed Market access, it is a bullseye!Tall Timber is designed for the small of medium group needing mt. and central access to town and everything. We are very happy to have it in our offerings.Come back for skiing or the next event, delighted to have you.

"Great Patio Area"

This house has an great patio area - lots of room. The kitchen and living area are quite roomy, too. This house was really perfect for our needs. While there is limited parking, it workedfor us!
Hi Sally:Thank you for the review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay in Tall Timber. The backyard is amazing. We are sorry that there is no parking allowed in the cul-de-sac, yet parking room for six cars with the garage offers good space options. Please come back next year.
