Welcome to Seaview Cottage at Plas Llanfair, Anglesey. Seaview Cottage is one of two cottages at Plas Llanfair, Tyn-y-gongl (near Benllech) which is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty. It offers access to a wide variety of activities on Anglesey for everyone; from visitors looking for activity-based breaks or relaxing holidays. If you are looking for a beautifully renovated cottage with modern home comforts and traditional charm this should be your choice. Our two self catering family run, coastal cottages have been individually designed and converted from Welsh stone barns (circa 1745).
Set on a quiet lane with ample parking, Seaview Cottage has views over the Anglesey countryside towards the sea and Snowdonia from a spacious garden and grounds, complete with patio area, garden furniture and barbecue. Seaview Cottage has been consistently awarded the highest rating of 5* by Visit Wales since its conversion and renovation in 2008. It is well equipped and features underfloor heating throughout with a Morso log burning stove in the lounge area for your comfort. The kitchen facilities include hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine. Beds are made up prior to arrival with towels provided. Also supplied are wash up materials and a welcome pack on arrival of tea, coffee, milk, home made preserve, home baking. Heating, electric and logs for the stove are included.
The detached cottage is 'upside down' with the two bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. There is one triple bedroom (with three full sized single beds) and one double bedroom. All beds have memory foam mattresses. The bathroom has full a sized bath with over bath shower and screen.
Ledged and braced oak doors, handmade oak staircase, solid oak and slate flooring together complete the excellent standard of comfort and accommodation. A range of baby equipment, including high chair, stairgate and travel cot is available. Wifi is accessible via a code.
Seaview Cottage is situated on a country lane between Tyn-y-gongl and Marianglas and is within walking distance of the coastal path and nearby village of Benllech (1/2 mile - 15-20 min walk) which offers a full range of facilities including a range of local shops, deli, butcher, seafood shop, cashpoints, Post Office, doctor and dentist surgeries, chemist, hotel, cafes and restaurants, library, bowling green, tennis courts and children’s playground. There is also direct access via recognised footpaths to the coastal path and the closest beaches at Benllech Bay and Traeth Bychan. The recognised cycle route ‘Hebog’ traverses the property. A couple of minutes in the car will also take you to other beaches at Traeth Bychan, Lligwy, Moelfre and Red Wharf Bay.
Anglesey is an ideal choice to enjoy a full range of activities and interests; walking, cycling, watersports of all types, golf, horse riding, to name but a few. The island boasts a castle and gaol in the lovely medieval town of Beaumaris, National trust properties at Plas Newydd and restored cottage at Church Bay. The windmill at Llanddeusant and art gallery, Oriel Mon, in Llangefni, are also well worth a visit as are the lighthouses at South Stack and Penmon (where there is also a former priory). Beautiful beaches, rocky coves and sandy and pebbly bays fringe the island - there's a choice for everyone from families to walkers, photographers to bird watchers.
