Description
Suitable for everyone! For couples or families with children and babies of any age or a group of friends, this ground floor house is one of three houses that stand in the middle of 3.5 acres of private grounds, away from roads and surrounded by vines, orchards, wildlife and stunning views across the Dordogne Valley. Only 2km away from the beautiful Dordogne river and nestled between the medieval towns of Bergerac and Ste Foy La Grande.
For the golfer, about 5km away, there's the beautiful and internationally renowned Chateau Des Vigiers Golf & Country Club and Spa, and Chateau Les Merles, Bergerac's technical golf course.
A perfect base also for cyclists of all levels, canoeing on the Dordogne, walking, dining and of course wine tasting, fishing, visiting medieval towns, markets, caves and chateaux or just relaxing.
Originally part of a working winery, this single storey, ground floor, open plan house has a fully fitted kitchen with all the modern appliances and equipment that you will need.
Large patio doors allow the sun and view to flood into the living area that consists of the lounge that is comfortably furnished with 2 sofas, a TV and DVD player, and a great inside dining area. However, the best dining is to be had outside on the large terrace.
Two bedrooms, one king-size and one twin, each with its own large, luxury ensuite bathroom with bath and shower also have patio doors so that you can step straight from your bed out onto your patio. Lovely bed linen and bath towels are provided.
The grounds are away from the road and are partially lawned to play on and the rest has been left to nature for the abundant birds and wildlife that have chosen to live here amongst the peace and tranquility. They don't mind sharing with you for a while though and you'll be able to watch them when you're sitting on your patio eating your breakfast in the sun. If you're very lucky, you may even get to see 'Hiboo' our owl.
Your private, above ground pool (June to Oct) is approx 11.5ft x 11.5ft with a large decked area for sun loungers.
For even more fun there's a large shared games room on site equipped with snooker table, table-tennis, table football, games, books, music and DVDs, all of which you are most welcome to use. There are also some bikes for you to potter around on.
