Everything and more! Idyllic and peaceful but central.

Left on Jul 06, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

I am very happy to say this property was exactly as described both verbally and photographically by the rental company.

The cottage is situated a little way up a lane to the side of the owners home and another cottage they also rent out so you are literally in the middle of all the open greenery and truly away from it all and everyone, but still just minutes away from the not too busy main road…

Cottage Rental with Homespun Charm

Left on Jul 21, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We spent 6 nights in this rental. It felt as though we were staying in a cottage home, not a rental cottage. It is 200-400 years old. And the quaintness and quirks to go with it. We did not want a sterile, "do-over", it is not. The wood beams, step down kitchen, attic bedroom with sloped ceilings made us feel we were back in time. The good-sized bathroom and complete kitchen were welcome …

I am anticipating my return trip with another stay at Hillcrest Cottage

Left on Nov 01, 2011 for a stay in September 2011

I recently returned from my first trip to England with fascinating experiences , 1000s of pictures and so many wonderful and fun memories. I had never booked a self-catering holiday rental on-line. My friends and I were concerned that our accommodations would not be up to the the pictures and info on it's website. Left on May 07, 2013 for a stay in April 2013

We had a brilliant 3 night stay over the bank holiday weekend. It's a cosy cottage with everything needed for a relaxing break, including a travel cot and high chair which is great if you are there with a baby. The setting is really peaceful, coming from London it was lovely to wake up to birdsong rather than traffic noise! The communal gardens are beautiful, we had our lunch down on the picnic …
