“Great location, cottage spotless, good hosts”

Reviewed 16 Sep 2021

Best holiday in Devon we have had for a long time despite covid. Cottage was comfortable & spotless, even had a small garden for us to chill with a glass of wine and the dogs to potter about after a day on the beach or walking. Andy & Allison made us feel very welcome & ensured we were happy with everything, will definitely be booking again.

“Excellent stay in Poppies”

Reviewed 8 Sep 2021

We had a lovely week in Poppies Cottage. It had everything we needed and more and it was spotlessly clean. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and the village of Berrynarbor is exceptionally beautiful. We even had wall to wall sunshine the whole week!

“Beautiful holiday home”

Reviewed 22 Jul 2021

I can say nothing negative about Poppies. It is beautifully furnished , lovely and clean and bright, and wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. Having stayed in Berrynarbor many times over the years we know the area well, it is not too far from the many towns and beaches so plenty of places to visit. Nice enclosed doggy area in the village, and The Globe serves wonderful food. What's not to enjoy !

“Poppies is a perfect hideaway for two in an area of outstanding natural beauty.”

Reviewed 9 Jul 2021

From the moment we arrived we relaxed into the lovely cottage Andy and Alison put so much care and love into preparing Poppies for us, it was spotlessly clean and the beautiful roses were such a blessing. Berrynarbor is a lovely village perfectly placed for peace and quiet but central to all the beauty spots you may want to visit in this beautiful area. We hope to stay again.

“Recommended cottage for a couple.”

Reviewed 21 Oct 2020

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Poppies in Berrynarbor. The cottage was spotless, and Andy & Alison had take all steps to ensure it was safe. It was comfortable, clean, bright, modern and well equiped. Wifi & Sky TV were included. There is a parking space right outside the door. Berrynarbour is a pretty village, and had a good local pub, within easy walking distance. There is so much to do in the local area. We had mainly good weather, but a couple of damp ones didn't spoil it at all. We visited; Lee, Morthoe, Woolacombe, Croyde, Combe Martin, Tintagel, St Nectans' Glen, and Boscastle. We also spent a couple of days, doing beautiful walks, on Exmoor through the atmospheric "Lorna Doone Valley", and along the banks of the East Lyn River, from Watersmeet to Lynmouth. (Phew!) I am sure we will return, and can recommend it.

“Amazing Poppies”

Reviewed 13 Aug 2020

We were impressed even before arriving with the Covid19 procedures taken by Andy & Allison to keep everyone safe. And, true to their word, Poppies was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed. The cottage is both cosy and spacious, as well as being very tastefully decorated. In a quiet setting, in the lovely village of Berrynarbor. Hopefully, on our next visit we will be able to enjoy dinner at Ye Olde Globe! The friendliness and generosity of the owners was exceptional, and we can't recommend it highly enough.
