Pros: size, location, screened porch, well-stocked kitchen, parking, grill, outside shower. Cons: First-floor bedroom (bed & lack of lights), 8 people sharing upstairs bath. & when we got home, we all noticed that all our clothing/linens had a mildewy smell (that went away after we did laundry), but we didn't notice it at the house, so that's odd. Even the kids said "That smells like the beach house!"
“Charming beach house/Great location/ a little grungy”

I didn't know what to expect in terms of renting a beach house because I never have-so maybe it's just the norm. This house couldn't be better located. The owner has many charming and beautiful decor items. Perfect for a beach house. And practically every type of kitchen utensil was available too. Internet and TV worked great. My only negative comment is that it was a bit grungy in certain areas. For instance, I wiped the handrail up the steps (at first I thought it was "antiqued," ) and soiled several wet wipes in the task. (It actually turned out to be white.) The shower curtain could stand to be replaced, but the bathroom itself was fine. Someone took care with the coordination of the wallpaper and the art, in the bathroom. I could see that care was taken in certain other rooms as well. It's a beach house-not a model home. Care was taken, but it wasn't "done to the nines." Overall, a great vacation in a great location...in a sweet, homey home.

This is our 2nd yr in 107 and we couldn't be happier. Its close to the beach, close to town, has good a/C, wifi, and has strong, responsive management in Wilgus assoc. It has its issues, some wear and tear that was corrected after a call to Wilgus, and it really could use a little parking pad out back and an upgrade to the outdoor shower. But for us its the perfect blend of nostalgia for the parents and new memories for the family. Bonus is walking distance everywhere, park your car and you don't have to leave (if you don't want to)
“close to the ocean. great because of extreme temps.”

Service was great. The big problem was bed on first floor. Really tooo high, andagainst the wall it was very hard for us. The grandparents, of which I am one were in the room and it was not easy. The house was lovely close to everything and kitchen/diningroom perfect. Just change bed please.

Our week at Bethany Beach was once again wonderful. First time in this house but 4th time on this street. Perfect location, much quieter on this the odd numbered side of the street. The house was very charming, the decor is a bit older, but with great new a/c. There were 3 problems when we arrived, no TV remote, no phone, and no working dryer. Wilgus assoc. responded immediately to all 3, and kept me apprised via my cellphone about status. Ultimately they were unable to resolve the dryer issue, but they provided a mutually agreeable rebate to the weekly rental at checkout, without us asking for it. There is a laundry about 1.5-2 miles away. One bonus was the house now has wifi, which was not in the listing. We would definitely stay here again.
“We love our family time at Bethany in a cottage that fits us.”

This is a great cottage for someone who needs a first floor bedroom. The early risers often took their breakfast out to the back screened in porch. The back-yard parking works well. Overall-everyone in the family loves this cottage.

Parking is always an issue at the beach and that probably will never change. The back yard of the house is a full lawn with plenty of room for two cars. However, there is not a designated parking area and since the lawn was completly saturated because of the huge rainfall we were hesitant to park on the there. The front lawn also remained completely saturated during our entire week long visit (even several days after all the rain had stopped. Other lawns appeared dry.
The downstairs bedroom is too small for anything other than a twin bed.
