The location of this home is perfect for a family beach get-away! The fact that it is only one house removed from the beach means easy trips with little ones between the house and the beach. The house is well appointed with most of the amenities that make your stay comfortable. The only short-coming is the mattresses. It is definitely time to replace them. Our family has spent several vacations here and has enjoyed it very much.

This is the third time I've stayed at this house. Again, we were very pleased. I've seem some comments in regards to the children's toys. There are toys around but they're in corners and I didn't find bothersome when they were put away. My family does have some small children so they enjoyed all the toys. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch on the top level, it's a great place to hang out. I didn't hear any complaints about the beds so I'm assuming everyone slept soundly.
The location of the house is great, especially with small children. Just across the street is an entrance to the beach, it's perfect.

We stayed for a week at 87 N. Atlantic ave and had a wonderful time! We have 11 people - kids, grandkids and the house was just the right size. Plenty of room, nice big kitchen/dining area, and screened porches. It was perfect. The house was so close to a walkway to the beach, it was easy to go back and forth. It is about 1/2 mile from town, so it is close enough, but far enough away that we got our walking in too! No complaints at all. Thanks!

The best thing about the house was the location -- across the street from the beach. It was nice to have coffee on the screened in deck in the mornings with a nice view of the ocean. And being able to walk back for lunch and use the bathroom was great.
The house was comfortable and pleasantly decorated. However, the owners, seemingly in an attempt to accommodate families with small children, have too many toys in the living room and in the kids' room with the bunk beds. We have 4 kids ranging from ages 14 down to 3. Three-year-olds tend to get into everything and leave a trail of clutter everywhere. We spent a lot of time cleaning up after our daughter who was just being a normal 3-year old -- not exactly what mom and dad want to do on their vacation. A few toys is good. A few dozen is too many...
The room on the second floor with the bathroom could have used a queen mattress. The full mattress is a little cramped for two adults -- and we are not big people.
The house could really use an updated coffee maker -- this one stunk. And how about a real toaster? The toaster oven took forever to toast a piece of bread. Is it too much to ask that the owners spend a few bucks on a decent coffee maker and a real toaster when we are paying upwards of $7,000.00 for a week?
One thing beyond the owners control -- the previous renters must have smoked in the house because when we walked in the first time (on august 11), we were assaulted by the smell of cigarette smoke. Not a good way to begin a vacation. We were under the impression that it was a non-smoking property.
Otherwise it was a nice house that gets big points for location.

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed this very comfortable, beautiful home with ocean views! The very short trip to the beach is quite a bonus when you are vacationing with young children. The beach is wide and uncrowded. The evening activities on the boardwalk are still within walking distance.

We love staying here - the short walk to the beach is incredible and the walk into town is nice. We love how comfortable we feel in the house.
Our only issue is the house is pretty filled with personal items from the owners - everything from furniture to small items in the closets and kitchen which had to be moved around in order to fit our items.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the house and appreciated the care the owners have taken to create a very comfortable house for renters. The furnishings and kitchen/bathroom amenities were wonderful. And the kid friendliness of the house was great for our daughter. We had two suggestions. (1) Create a clothesline in the parking level for hanging towels and swim suits to dry. (2) We found some of the beds to be very uncomfortable (esp. the downstairs master), though this could be just due to them being different from ours. But we had to move around from bed to bed each night and were not comfortable. I would be worried if we came back with another family and needed to use all the bedrooms. Have any other guests mentioned this? If so, you might consider new mattresses.

Porch chairs had food on them, table dirty, with food. Bathroom carpets were disgusting. We bought 2 cans of lysol and sprayed the bathroom carpets and the master bedroom carpet, that has stains, as you walk into the room. All the floors had sand; we realize this is a beach house, but a basic broom will do the job.
Screen, on top level is held together by "stick pins". For $1,000/week-----we really "got taken".
We left the house cleaner than when we came in.
We went to the office,in person, and the gentelman
offered us no consolation.
We were in the same house,July 2007, and the house
was immaculate-----that's why we returned. The owner
of the house would not be happy to see the condition the house is in, since this is an upscale
community and renters,at least our family, expects
it to be well kept, clean. It ruined the week, knowing that our house had not been properly cleaned, before we came in.
