On the corner of 2 country roads meet your friends and family at this comfortable home. It will cradle you with warmth in its elegant country decor and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen is well equip to let you entertain a large group. The home is ideal to host pre and post wedding, birthday, shower, reunion or memorial service. It has 4 generous size bedrooms upstairs along with a library area that can sleep 4. A family room with a fireplace, TV and 2 large couches. The living room also has a large fireplace, and piano with a feather down couch that becomes a queen size bed. The outdoor teak table seats 6 there is a gas grill for BBQs. Additional tables are also set up in the garage for overflow.

Since 2017 families and corporate work groups have been meeting at this sprawling home in the Litchfield countryside. Nestled in farmland on 33 acres at the junction of 2 roads you can spend time with your loved ones in a comfortable setting. Whether they live in or out of state or coming from a distant, the house is an accessible point to get together. If some people need to work while on vacation, the house has an enterprise class internet that will support 200 users on multiple devices concurrently.

Minutes to Taft, Westover, Rumsey Hall and The Gun School. Enterprise class internet. Four grocery store 2 of which deliver. Ten minutes to Bantam lake for swimming. Lake Quassy Amusement park 10 minutes away. Lake Compounce water park 20 minutes away. Multiple private schools with in 20 minutes. Full Laundry. Multiple restaurants in town for pickup or delivery

The property can easily accommodate a large family (or a work team) that wants to get together in comfort and style in a lovely, quiet, country setting. With 4 generous-size bedrooms upstairs, a library with 2 additional full-sized beds, small study table, couch, and a second TV, a family room with a fireplace and a living room with a piano (and sleeper sofa), there's lots of options for a group up to 14 (or more with some prior approval and planning). It is on 33 acres, but only 10 minutes straight down the road to town, providing excellent shopping and restaurant choices nearby (and many offer home delivery).

Judd Farm was completely redecorated December 2017, and thoughtful improvements are continuously being added. The kitchen appliances have since been updated a new refrigerator installed in 2022.

We have also added a bright and open banquet-style space in the large garage area which could seat up to 24

The dining room is decorated in country French style, with 6 chairs but capacity to seat more if desired. The hutch and buffet has an assortment of serving platters and vessels, as well as linens, silver flatware and various serving pieces.

The family room has 2 large, comfortable sofas and a raised hearth fireplace. Firewood is available, but if you are unfamiliar with starting or tending a fireplace, we ask that you please do ask for assistance and information: smoke and fumes are dangerous to people and property! The 42" HDTV gives you a choice of Amazon, Netflix, or HBO.

There are drapes in family room that may be closed at night for privacy and heat retention. It would be thoughtful to also close the drapes on the porch to help conserve fossil fuel, thanks!.

The most convenient entry is straight through the garage, so we provide a key to the garage (which opens the left side). To lock it you have to move the door up and down a little bit. The other key opens the side porch. If it is snowy and wet you should use the garage entrance. There is no walkway yet to the porch door.

The property is a stand alone house. We are there if you need help with an issue with a problem with the house. We live 3 miles away and our brother lives 3 miles away and either of us are there to make service calls.

House rules

Checking out: For each bedroom- strip bed of linen and place sheets inside one of the pillow cases bring to front porch area to be washed.
DO NOT bring mattress pads, blankets, or bedspreads to porch area.
Bring used towels and wash cloths to laundry area and if you can start a load before leaving. Load dirty dishes and start a load before leaving. Under the sink in the kitchen are extra sponges, cleaning supplies & garbage bags.
