We stayed at this cabin on Veterans day weekend 2011. We have stayed at several cabins in Big Bear, but this one is top of the list with amenities. The location was great also.
There was plenty of activities to do without even going outside. From outside it doesn't look that big, but once you go inside you will be pleasantly amazed ! We will definitely come back again & again. Thank you for your hospitality. Mike a.

I would like to state that the interior of the home was what we had hoped and expected. We were very upset with the exterior of the home, fisrt starting with the privacy issue. The photos of the exterior of the property were very deceptive. Did not realize that the backyard sat on the neighbors front yard with nothing to provide privacy for the renters and also there was no terraced patio. We were expecting some sort of shade but there was nothing. Also my wife and I arrived to find that the exterior of the residence had approximately two feet worth of weeds surrounding the property and in the backyard (major fire hazard, especially if grilling outside. Being in law enforcement,I know that there was definitely a code violation, especially for being a rental property. We had guests coming up to visit and we eneded up paying $50.00 out of our own pocket to have an adult male subject and his teenage son come onto the property and clean up the weeds with their weed eaters (now I know the fine for this issue would have cost you alot more). I am not trying to complain, we made the best out of the situation. We have rented from you in the past and have always been satisfied, but for paying a little over $3,000.00 for a holiday weekend we were hoping for a little better situation. Don't know at this point if we will utilize your services again. We tried to change properties on the day of our arrival only to sit in the lobby for over an hour waiting for a response from upper management on whether or not we could swithch to a different unit or not. Thanks for your time, The Mathews Family.

This cabin was great. Nice and clean, and very spacious. The pool table seemed to be pretty new so that was a plus. Usually pool tables are beaten up or not taken care of very well. The spa outside was ok, thought there would be a little more privacy but that was fine.
The only thing that scared me was seeing some damage inside the house such as, bowls, cups, and the wall in the kitchen... nothing major but i didn't know if I was going to have to pay already damaged items or what.. i wasn't Charged but i think replacing them would have been nice.

Overall, great house and layout. Family enjoyed the property and would come again, maybe at a lower rate.
Positives: Large common areas, updated rooms/bathrooms, side yard for sledding/kids, pool table, jacuzzi
Negatives: Master bath shower did not drain, not as many kitchen wares/utensils as other rentals, No central heating in front bedroom, road access, pot hole right near driveway, door in living room is hard to close, door/access to basement from dining area is dangerous for kids, bedding was dusty
We have purchased kitchen wear and unclogged the master bath shower drain. Westfall Mountain Lodge #1164 is priced very accordingly with all it has to offer. Being in a resort town setting; Having a full sized professional pool table next to the upstairs full bath and small wet-bar, located blocks from the lake, band-new expensive home décor, 2700 square feet of rich tile floors, good quality spa, internet access, and great level parking we feel it is priced very reasonable. Come see for yourself at our Westfall Mountain Lodge #1164!!!!

This was a great place to stay. Clean, nice up dated interior. With 4 bedrooms this was a great place for 4 couples with lots of room to have fun and relax. We definitely hope to stay here again and would recommend this cabin to anyone!

We had 10 people (6 adults and 4 kids) and it was definately big enough to accomodate us all. Nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Outdoor spa was great after a day on the slopes.
Had a couple of problems when we first arrived - some of the lights were not working in a section of the house, the cable box was not there at all; however the management company were very responsive and had it all fixed in no time.
“amazing cabin after shoveling our way to the front door”

The cabin was amazing!! We did visit the cabin during a huge snow storm. After 8 hours to get to the cabin we shoveled our way to the front door at night for two hours. The next day we shoveled our cars out of the snow for several hours. When we finally relaxed the cabin was perfect. We had a short visit only able to stay the two nights and we requested late check out. Big Bear Cabins rental office did not care about the hell we went through to get up the mountain and all the shoveling they wanted to charge us for a late check out even though the cabin was not booked the next day. We even called the front desk in the middle of our adventurous trip up the Mountain and they said NO REFUND! very disappointed in the customer service we received. We would love to stay there again.. Perhaps in the Summer.. A free night should be given to us and a call.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day/2 night stay in Big Bear. There were 10 of us, and the house accommodated our large group very nicely. It was well-kept, spacious, clean, very comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes (but it needed more than one large stock pot to cook for a large group). The pool table, fireplace, and large living room kept us all entertained in the evenings. The location was central to everything. Nice flat driveway which was great in the snowy conditions. There was even a hilly area next to the house that the kids could sled down. We would more than happily return to this house next winter.

This cabin looks brand new! You feel at home and is perfect for groups around
10 people, a 2 minute drive to the lake and also to the village, highly
recommend it and will definitely stay at this cabin again.
