We could not have been happier with our decision to stay at War Dance for our trip to Big Sky, it was perfect. The location is ideal - convenient yet private. If you take a right out the front door you are within walking distance of the mountain village ski base where you can find the main ticket office, ski rental and shops, bars/restaurants, and ski lifts. If you take a left out the front door you can ski down low dog road and access the Thunder wolf high speed quad which is close to the lone peak tram, shedhord and dakota lifts. The home itself is beautifully decorated and the layout is spacious and accommodating. Everything we needed was there for us and the owner was always available when I called to ask questions. I highly recommend staying at War Dance if you are planning a trip to Big Sky!!

The house nicely accommodated a group of ten consisting of grandparents, kids and grandkids. Heated garage and a large boot/glove warmer were fantastic for active skiers. The location is peaceful and has great views. The home is nicely decorated and the two sided fireplace lights and warms the main living area. Ski-out is easy for everyone. Ski-in to the driveway from the War Dance run was used by everyone in our group including a six year old, but is a difficult run. We used a run next to War Dance at the top for easier skiing. The alternative ski-in route is easy but may require some walking if the road doesn't have packed snow. Thanks Blaine for renting your house.

We recently met my in-laws and some friends up at Big Sky and were fortunate enough to stay in War Dance. My wife and I showed up pretty late at night so we toured the house and took in all the spectacular artwork and western style furnishings the home had to offer, eagerly awaiting the next morning coffee time to take in the natural surroundings...and we were not let down, this home is in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Every morning I would get up and fish the creek just down the hill and pull out 10-15 nice size brookies and little cut-throats in about an hour which was awesome.
At one point we had about 8 people in the house and the layout of the home accommodated that perfectly. The beds are comfortable and the couches are ideal for just relaxing and gazing out the big bay windows into wilderness.
At night we would all sit around the huge dining room table and eat dinner followed by hours of card games and laughs.
The house was absolutely perfect for a Summer vacation at Big Sky, I can only imagine what it would be like in the winter!

We enjoyed this home in the summer and can only imagine how wonderful it would be during the ski season! We have been blessed to ski Big Sky and would highly recommend a winter visit, but the best kept secret is the beauty of the area in the summer too! This home offers multiple amenities and is a perfect place for 2 families to share. The bedrooms are private and beautifully furnished and the bunk room sleeps the overflow! We especially enjoyed the large dining table and shared good food, laughter, games and great conversation around it. The decks allowed us to enjoy our morning coffee and evening wine with beautiful views and we walked to the Mountain Mall when we felt a need for an outing. Fishing on the Gallatin River was good and the weather was perfect. The home was cozy with multiple places to sit down with a book or with a friend We would love to come back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

War Dance is absolutely beautiful. The accomodations were five star for sure. The house is homey and comfortable from the bedrooms to the living room. The hot tub was wonderful...even in the summer. Plenty of kitchen supplies, bath towels, and blankets. We would highly recommend staying at this luxuray summer vacation home!

We had a wonderful time in Big Sky. The home we stayed in was gorgeous. Blaine was very helpful in planning our trip and our hikes and places to eat. She really gave us all the info we needed. I can't begin to write how much fun we had and how great the house was. You can go on hikes right outside the front door. Horseback riding, white water rafting, zip lining, Ousel falls, etc. is so close to the house. It is beautifully furnished and the view is spectacular. There is a creek down at the bottom of the house and we saw deer down our road. I highly recommend this house!

I can't believe this is the last day to ski. It was another great week at Big Sky and War Dance. Yesterday was perfect weather and good snow. There are a few inches of fresh powder this morning and the clouds are clearing as I write. Thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us for another year.

This is my 6th Visit in the last 10 years that i've been lucky enough to Visit this magnificent home! Everything about the home is first class from the ski in ski out option, the beauty of its location sitting below the mountain to the incredible home itself. Each room has its on personality and its own charm. Everything needed for an extremely comfortable stay is available and I and my friends absolutely love every amenity such as the hot tub, beautiful decks, kitchen, heated large garage, living spaces and beautiful fireplace inside the main sitting area.
