Ski In: Intermediate and Expert can ski Silverknife to Bear Back Poma. Follow the poma down, but don't go all the way to the bottom. You will see ski tracks to the left where people have cut to the left and back towards the units. This will make it easier to get closer to the garage of the unit. Black Eagle is a great place to stay. Amazing hottub on deck, good space for groups, close to the village. June 2014 had snow, hail, thunder, lightning, rain, and sun..crazy! But being in the hottub in the snow in June was also great. We were there for a conference and the resort had only opened a week and a lot of places were not open yet, but what was open was fine and friendly. We also used it as a base for hiking, riding, golf and visiting Yellowstone. It must be amazing for skiing.

Black Eagle 31 was the best. It was a 1/3 of the price that Big Sky Reservations was charging. We were a group of nine and had everything we needed. The house has 3.5+ bathrooms, full size washer & dryer, boot dryers, 2 coffee pots, beautiful kitchen, clean hot tub & gas grill on the deck, wood burning fireplace, & a short walk to lift. We made breakfast every morning and dinner every night. No need to go out unless you want to. Booking through Big Sky Vacation Rental was the best choice.

I'm not sure if I've ever been in a rental this nice and with such great management. Kirsten and team were extremely accommodating, helpful and I truly believe they would do anything to make sure their guests have the best time. Not only is the rental pretty much perfect, but Big Sky during the summer is wonderful.
I was so pleasantly surprised by the beauty of the area, amount of activities, great weather, and great rental pricing. My only negative was that the sheets were a bit rough, but otherwise everything was top notch. They even helped us to order groceries so that our fridge and pantry were stocked upon arrival.
I am definitely recommending this unit and management company to anybody as well as telling people to visit Big Sky in the summer.

We really enjoyed our stay! Very nice accomodations with tasteful decorations. The hot tub was broken but was fixed with a new motor within 24 hours. Not exactly ski in/ ski out during our week because of melting snow (we were there late March) but a very very short walk to the base! It was the perfect size for two families. Lovely family style dining table and a loft for kids to play and watch TV/Wii upstairs. Kitchen well stocked including crock pot. couldn't have asked for a nicer place!

This is a very nice place.I would stay again and again. The service from the staff was very good and took care of all our needs. The ski in ski out is a little more work than we wanted but it is very close to the lifts anyway.Great place and about as good as it gets.

We visited Big Sky in late January for a ski trip, we are a group of 8 avid 30 something skiers. We had a blast, this home is extremely large and well layed out. The upstairs was perfect for 4 guys to sleep, and the masters on the main floor and bottom were very spacious. You are walking distance to base but would need a car for groceries or other trips in town. Now for the ski-in/out, this is only if you can do a T-bar type lift, it is ski out but you have to hike up a small hill then take a lift and down to the base, not for novice skiers..and ski in is basic and a 6 min hike back to the house. The house is not on the mountain, but for beginner skiers walking to base with gear is a trek but doable. The kitchen was awesome, the hot tub had a great view and overall we loved this home. Would recommend it to anyone.

The house was beautifully decorated and had a great floor plan that easily accommodated our large family dinners. Although, while we were there, the pomo lift wasn't working, the condo was an easy walk to the ticket booth at the ski hill. The property managers were great - asy to work with and helpful to us during our stay. We definitely hope to return in the future.
