We always pick a place based on value and location...for this place, ski out was fabulous...ski in needed some practice but when we figured it out we were skiing right onto our back deck. The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed including the essentials like towels and papergoods. Comfortable for 2 families of 4 (with school aged kids). Only thing missing was a place to store boots and skis...a mudroom of sorts would have been amazing. With 8 skiers in one cabin, the equipment got really tight, even when leaving the skis themselves out of the back deck overnight. Helmets, boots, gloves were everywhere and scrambled to get them dry by the next a.m. A couple of boot dryers are a cheap investment that are well worth it...but now I'm being picky..it was really great overall and would definitely return.
Thank you for your comments. We always appreciate the opportunity to solve any issues that come up during a guest's stay. The good thing about summer is that while there are cabins nearby, they are rarely all occupied at the same time so it is very quiet and peaceful and not unusual to see wildlife. We have other floorplans with bonus spaces for families that would like to have two living spaces so that adults and kids can enjoy some time apart. Thanks for staying with us and we hope you will return to Big Sky!

“A great place to take a family vacation!”

We stayed here right before Christmas and had a wonderful family vacation. Big Sky is a wonderful vacation destination and Kirsten and her team went out of their way to think of everything so that we wouldn't have to. My children (7and 11) are still talking about how great the vacation it was and asking to go back.
When we travel, my family is used to staying at five-star hotels (yes, I've spoiled them, my kids are going to be shocked when they go off to college) and we felt right at home in this cabin. I would highly recommend this cabin or the many others that Kirsten has available. Call her like I did and she'll tell you what's a good fit for you.

Kristen did a great job of making sure everything was well set up prior to our stay, including restaurant recommendations, providing a crib, ideas about a Yellowstone trip and details on where to ski. Our two younger kids shared the room with queen bunks and loved it. Our twelve year old was in the second master and felt like a king.
While the house is ski in, ski out, because of different schedules within the family we found it just as quick to drive to the base and use free parking.

This place was beautiful on the inside. We had 9 people and it never seemed crowded. Once we got the hang of the ski-out we would ride right to our deck. You have to ski a small distance down to the first chair. Master bedrooms were huge and the bathrooms were nice. Kirsten was very accommodating and always helped as soon as we asked. We would go back next year for sure!

This unit is a true ski-in, ski-out. The unit is very nice, well stocked and well maintained. Kirsten King is a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone seeking a ski-in, ski-out unit in Big Sky.

Kirsten was very thorough while checking our group into the home. She also clearly explained how to get to the ski hill and restaurants and let us know what to due when we checked out.
The location was great due to the ski-in and ski-out trail right off the back deck. The hot tub is always a nice touch. It was nice having lots of cooking items already in the house; like coffee filters, sugar, spices, garbage bags, as well as games and ipod dock.
The best thing about the home was the proximity to the hill and lifts.
The couple of things we didn't like were: the dishwasher was not mounted to the cabinets, so it would tip out whenever we loaded it. Also, the rear door would always stick in the frame and upstairs bathroom doors would bind on the floor and it was very difficult to open and close them. Just minor inconveniences and would not stop us from coming back again.

This property was great for skiing but would not be as convenient for a summer vacation. The cabin was very comfortable for cooking and serving meals and relaxing. Although there is a garage the owners do not provide an opener which is a problem It would not be safe to park in the street and the driveway is quite steep. We had to walk down the drive after manually closing the door from the inside because it is too narrow to allow getting into the car. Steep and slippery, this wasn't safe either. If you don't use the garage the drive won't be plowed in a slow which could be a problem as well. The owner should reconsider this issue and charge a steep fine for openers that aren't returned if that is the big issue. As you can tell this was a daily problem for us and a damper on the stay.

We loved our stay in Powder Ridge. My husband and I were traveling with a 14 month old and were meeting my sister, her husband and my father. The house was perfect for a big group and it was really easy to ski in and ski out. Kristen provided a pack n play and high chair during our stay, which was a life saver for us with our young son. We used the Hungry Mouse food delivery system, which was easy and great. We did rent a car, which was a life saver so that we could go to dinner one night and also drove our son to the day care right at the base of the ski resort. Kristen and Kirsten were in full contact with us leading up to the visit to make sure we had all the info. we needed. Kristen visited us once we were in the house to make sure we were all set, which was much appreciated. I would definitely recommend them and will hopefully use them again next year!

I wanted to let you know that we all really enjoyed our time at Big Sky! None of us had ever been there before and we weren't too sure what to expect. We were all blown away by how awesome everything was! It really is the biggest skiing in america! Even though we only caught the big storm before our last day we all still had a great time out on the mountain. Compared to most of the resorts we have been to we felt like we had the place to ourselves! That powder day last Tuesday was such a great way to end the trip!
The cabin was incredible. Everything was so nice there, and we had tons of room! We loved being able to put our skis on at the back door and head out and then finish the day skiing right up to the house. The hot tub also felt great after a long day on the slopes. The place could not have worked out better for us! Thank you for bringing more firewood and everything up to the house.
Normally we would try out a different resort every year, but we had such a great time at this place we are strongly considering coming back next year!!!

My wife and I loved this huge, beautiful cabin. We are frequent travelers and are a bit scrutinizing but this place exceeded our expectations in ever way. Great kitchen for cooking. Great living rooms and bedrooms. Great location... It was so easy to ski and and out. Great service from Kirsten and the gang. We are already planning for when we can go back and bring family and friends.

This was truly a vacation cabin in the woods. Everyone in our family was very impressed with this property and the amenities that came along with it. Kirsten was extremely helpful and very responsive to our needs.
