We just returned home from a fantastic seven day stay at Huckleberry Hideaway. We had 12 family members with plenty of room and a good time was had by all.
The house was beautiful with a décor that fits the mode of a home sitting on 20 acres with a view of Lone Peak Mountain from all the bedrooms as well as the living room, dining room and deck. While we did not see any large wildlife on the property, we did see deer and turkeys.
The list of amenities is very accurate. We chose to cook at the house on more than half of the days. We had every appliance, every pot and pan, and every bowl and plate needed to prepare and feed our small army.
From out location, we were able to visit Lone Peak, Big Sky Mountain and Meadow Villages, Yellowstone Park. We were in Big Sky for a wedding and those activities kept us busy or we would have done much more in the area.
Megan was an outstanding representative of Big Sky Rentals on our arrival. From making sure that we were checked in with all the information we needed for a wonderful stay to tirelessly attempting to fix a broken ceiling fan, she did it all.
Mike, the onsite caretaker was also very helpful in directing us to local events such as the Farmers Market and helping us with travel time allotments. He knows the area well. He is a wildlife photographer and musician who plays at different venues in the Big Sky area. His works are on display in the house as well.
I will bring up the only very minor negative in our stay was that the water is so soft it makes it difficult to even grip things. I bring this up only with the hope that the owner will tone down the water softener in the future.
I would highly recommend this property for any group, large or small, if they are looking to stay at Big Sky.

I stayed for a week with family at Huckleberry Hideaway this past Christmas. We had such a great time. My siblings are still thanking me! The house is large, but still cozy, and allows couples to have their own private areas. Only one of the four bedrooms doesn't have an ensuite bath (it's across the hall). The view is pretty stunning from the living room and a couple of the bedrooms and makes for a very "Montana-like" feel all around. Activity-wise, we were pretty happy to stay in a lot of the time. We were able to sled (or snowshoe) right out the back door (and right on top of the fresh elk tracks). We skied one day and didn't mind being off the mountain (lots more space!). We put up and decorated our own tree and (with lots of snow falling) it made for a quintessential white Christmas. The folks at the rental company (Kirsten and caretaker Jackie) could not have been nicer. Plus, the owners went out of their way without being asked. It can be a little scary booking something like this online, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house or this rental company to others.
