OK Street Jailhouse

Former jail, built in 1904 and active until 1915. Due to the increased 'boarder ' demand of a booming and busy mining town, a larger facility was constructed in 1915.

Additional Location Information

The OK Street Jailhouse is in the historic area of Bisbee. Checking out the shops and restaurants is part of the fun. We have many artists and very talented people living in Bisbee.
For a weekend (or even a long weekend, stay) there are a number of excursions in the immediate area. If you are a hiker, Bisbee offers some great hikes. Only 30 - 35 miles west of Bisbee, Coronado National Monument and the Huachuca Mountains have many trails. San Pedro House a short distance from Bisbee and Carr House in the Huachucas have tons of information about the local area. A little further, about a 2 hour drive northeast, the Chiricuah National Monument is an awsome place to visit. Caution, at least during June, July, and August you must start very early and bring lots of water.
Many of the hiking trails are also used by mountain bikers, as well as horseback riders.
