This comfortable Central Oregon vacation rental cabin is centrally located on the Ranch, and is at the dead end of Penstemon Road in a quiet setting. Traffic here is minimal and parking is easy. Glaze Meadow pool is within easy biking or walking distance; both golf courses are equidistant from the home. Other recreation sites at the Ranch are within easy biking distance; Aspen Lake bike path is within 50 years of the back of the house. The home has an unobstructed view of Aspen Lake so the outdoor scene is varied and entertaining. In the early morning deer come down to drink; ducks play all day. The living area is set up to capture the outdoors, with a comfortable sofa and love seat all arranged towards 3 big picture windows. This living area also features a rock fireplace, new flat screen TV and upgraded cable package for the digital TV/DVR/VCR. There is plenty of light for those who prefer to read. Throughout the home there is free internet wi-fi service. The dining area, which seats six, is in the living room, with easy access to the kitchen via a pass-through. Cooking on the barbeque and dining on the new deck are perfect in the summertime. A second outdoor table and 4 chairs are stored in the front deck closet so the deck can seat 8, if desired. Access to the deck is possible through sliding glass doors in the living room or downstairs bedroom. Recent upgrades include new kitchen countertops and cabinets, remodeled bathrooms with excellent lighting, attractive ceramic floors in the kitchen, entryway and bathrooms and high tech overhead lighting to brighten the living/dining area. Two bedrooms are downstairs: one with a king size bed with outdoor access and one with a bunk and a twin. Between is a full remodeled bath and in the hall a stacked washer/dryer. Upstairs in the loft bedroom, with a queen bed and 他 bath, is a new flat screen TV/VCR. From the large window in the room the view of Aspen Lake through the trees is enchanting. The setting, views and amenities make this home relaxing and peaceful for a family or for friends vacationing together. I was one of five ladies who were at BBR for a wedding. This home was a perfect choice for our weekend. We enjoyed the patio and the lovely views from there and from the family room. It's a little tricky to find the first time, but that's a fair trade-off for the feeling of privacy, and for the access to the walking/biking path. We would definitely stay there again.

We were checked into the lodge condos for our stay however due to slash burning the first night we were relocated to aspen Home 023. The house was fantastic and we enjoyed the remainder of our stay at BBR. I would just suggest one thing-when guests are in the lodge condos and slash burning is being conducted please notify the guests and offer a change. Our first night we had the windows open at bedtime to enjoy the cool breeze and sounds but at 3am I had a horrible asthmatic attack so severe that we left the condo, drove to Sister's hoping to find an open business or safe place to park and try to sleep in the car. At 5am the bakery on the east side of Sisters opened and we went in for coffee then headed back to BBR. The smoke was still so thick that when we tried to go into our condo I started coughing again and my throat began to close so we drove over to the golf course Big Meadow and slept in the car again until we thought that the reception window might be open. They were excellent in dealing with us but it would have been helpful to know upon check in that some one is on call for any after hour problems. Needless to say grabbing a couple of hours of sleep sitting up in a car left us really tired for the activities that we had planned the first day. The BBR staff were exceptional and the home we were given was lovely. Thank you Raylene and Tony Eilers

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Waking up to such a peaceful setting was great, especially watching the baby ducks frollow their Mother around Aspen Lake. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed and the bike path ran right close by for easy access. We will definitely be back.

This is a very nice house with a good view. It was well equipped with plenty of firewood. The only complaint was how incredibly uncomfortable the mattress in the downstairs bedroom was. It was impossible to sleep on that bed.

For the last 2 years we have come to Black Butte Ranch and stayed in the Aspen House 23. We have such a wonderful time riding our bikes, swimming, visiting the horses and just relaxing on the deck overlooking Aspen Lake. It is the most peaceful place, the people are so friendly. The house it self is very clean and well maintained. It feels like our home away from home. We look forward to coming back next year, and the year after ect.
