Additional Location Information

Tobago is considered the calmer, quieter half of the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad is known for its frenetic Carnival and cosmopolitan lifestyle, but in Tobago, simpler pleasures abound. It’s much more pastoral, and the pace of life is slower. You’ll feel yourself relaxing as you drive by beaches, or sit and have a drink at your villa’s poolside.

Sample some of the island’s great cuisine: ‘crab and dumpling’ are a favourite among both locals and visitors. Try some ‘bake and saltfish’ (fried bread stuffed with stewed salted codfish), or stewed meats with breadfruit, a local staple food. Wash it all down with fresh, local juices. Feel free to walk around, say ‘Good morning!’ to passers-by and purchase ripe fruit from a local vendor. Time is a concept in Tobago, so take all the time in the world to relax.
