Description

The Burrow is a cosy self contained apartment attached to a Victorian family home in the grounds of a private walled garden situated in the heart of Perthshire. It is a top end 3 Star property with ample parking with the apartment all on ground level. This property is ideal for a couple getting away for a short stay or a longer stay but with the use of a sofa bed allows up to four people to stay.

The Burrow is in the perfect location to explore the rich heritage and enjoy the stunning scenery, natural environment and activities on offer within Perthshire. Only a 10 minute walk to the town centre where you will find a good variety of coffee shops, pubs and hotels serving quality food. Located within a golfers paradise with over 60 courses within an hours drive, including Gleneagles, venue of 2014 Ryder Cup.
With its excellent network of well marked routes ranging from gentle strolls to challenging hikes such as The Cateran Trail, which starts and finishes in Blairgowrie, the whole of Perthshire provides the perfect location for walkers, photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Enjoy plenty of salmon and trout fishing, local fishing permits can be purchased from a local shop along with equipment and tackle hire. The surrounding area provides opportunities to enjoy horseriding, kayaking and a variety extreme activities such as canyoning and bungee jumping.

The Glenshee Skii Centre is only 17 miles from The Burrow and for the last two seasons has provided good snow cover.

The Burrow is not only excellently positioned for those looking for an active break it is within an hour from the top 5 visitor attractions in Perthshire and just over an hour from Edinburgh and Glasgow, in the very heart of Scotland , it provides an ideal base to meet what ever holiday requirements you need.

“Excellent short break”

Had a lovely bank holiday weekend stay at The Burrow. Very clean and all comforts catered for. Back garden is a sun trap which we got lovely weather for. I would highly recommend. Blairgowrie is a lovely small town but plenty of restaurants/pubs you can still go to for dinner/drinks. Co op not too far from where you stay about 10 minute walk and you can pick up some essential groceries. Lots of nice walks in area. All in all an enjoyable time.

“Lovely little place, great weekend”

Stayed for 2 nights between 11th July-13th July in the “new normal”. Cottage was spotless and me and my hubby felt very comfortable. An added bonus was the breakfast pack left. Really nice touch. Blairgowrie is a lovely village. Larger than I thought. We were lucky with weather and sat in the very nice little garden which is a sun trap. Will definitely return.

How do damage deposits work?

If Kathleen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
