Are you looking for seclusion, but with all the fun around the corner?
Description from the manager
It has 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. It is perfectly located at the tri-state border of GA, NC and TN.
A complete renovation has just been finished, featuring new wood floors, new stainless steel appliances, new paint and rustic mountain furnishings. This cabin is so special because it is secluded from neighbors, with a long, easily accessible private driveway. It provides beautiful seasonal mountain views and the property is shaded with beautiful oak and pine trees. Enjoy the 1,500+ sq ft of outside patio and deck area, that features a chimney and outside campfire site. Star gazing is amazing.
The Chalet style cabin features two bedrooms upstairs, complete with stained glass and other windows to admire the beautiful scenery. Downstairs is a sleeper sofa and beautifully appointed kitchen, living room/dining room. You will feel like you are in your own enchanted forest while on property, but you are very close to area recreational facilities.
Go down the drive and mountainside, and you will come upon Lake Nottelly and a marina which features boat rental. Enjoy many of the local waterfalls, state parks, white water rafting and tubing nearby. Browse the quaint historic town of Blue Ridge and ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway through the mountains.
Visit the Swiss town of Helen, GA; or cross into North Carolina (9 miles away) and tour historic Murphy or drive the beautiful Scenic By-ways.
The cabin provides access to very nice hiking trails. A one hour hike we love can be accessed by walking past the cabin up Wilmot-Fabus Mountain Road until the pavement ends (the pavement is the steep part of the all downhill from there). Then follow the dirt path into the woods until you begin to see tree's painted with white paint "markers" or metallic arrow markers. Follow any of the marked trails down the mountain (our favorite brings you to a church cemetery overlooking the lake) then follow Boyscout Road past quaint abandoned farm houses and barns back to Jewell Road then Wilmot-Fabus Road. The boy-scouts have marked these better to make easy to navigate trails for your hiking or four wheeling pleasure.

Great location. Quiet, clean, private and very affordable. This was the best family vacation ever. We have been to Europe, Jamaica, Hawaii and the Rockies and they were all great but as a family we bonded more and had more fun here than anywhere else. We hope to return next year and maybe even this fall to catch the fall colors.
THANK YOU!!! Read more
So great to have you with us! Nothing than nature and family… Comeback soon!

We spent a delightful 8 days in this cabin.
The only issue I had was that the Master Bedroom is on the second floor & the only full bath is on the first floor. We were in the area for the sole purpose of visiting with our son & seeing the new home he is building so we didn't utilize the cabin as much as most folks would. The driveway is quite steep & slippery when raining but we were told that ahead of time & did not have any problem since our car is 4 wheel drive. Read more
Thank you so much for your comments. Remember that Bear View Cove has 2 driveways, one it goes to the porch and the second right in the flat driveway area by the beautiful pine trees; using the second parking space you don’t have to struggle up the hill.
We are happy you enjoyed your stay and hope you will be back soon.

If peace, quiet, and solitude is what you are in need of, this is the place to be. Beautiful and remote, this cabin really hit the spot for my family and I. The cabin has all the amenities you'd need: flat screen tv, full kitchen, plush beds etc..., but it's the other stuff that we enjoyed most; sitting on the rocking chairs out on the front porch, sipping hot chocolate, talking as a family, laughing. That is what this place is about. Board games are aplenty, so you won't need the tv. The only negative I can think of is no fireplace, and the faux fireplace it does have wasn't working. Read more
We are sorry for the inconvenience of the electric fireplace out of service, we are working on fixing the issue, but most important is the great time you all have as a family and we hope you come back very soon. Happy NY.We want to include the comments from prior guests:Hi. We just got home and settled in after our wonderful trip to your cabin this weekend. I just wanted to take a minute to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay and that the extra touches of the Christmas tree and the fruit basket were greatly appreciated. Our little boy LOVED the tree!! We have rented from different places we have found on VRBO numerous times in the past, but your cabin exceeded all expectations. It is one of the best kept and cleanest rental properties that we have stayed. Also, it wasn't an emergency, so we didn't contact maintenance, but wanted to let you all know that the cord on the electric fireplace looks like it is melting around the metal prongs. My husband noticed after it had been on for approximately and hour and a half. We unplugged it from the wall to prevent further damage or a fire. We just didn't want it to get used by anyone else until we alerted you and it can be repaired. It is something we really enjoyed on the cold evenings and morning sitting around watching TV.Thank you again for letting us use your cabin!Kimberlee G.
