A FEW MESSAGES FROM PREVIOUS GUESTS (FROM GUEST BOOK):
"We had a wonderful time here at the cabin. The creek was awesome. The boys bought rafts and floated down stream. The swing was very nice-relaxing. We roasted marshmellows almost every night- hot tub every night-! Great memories were made, but most of all, great family time spent together with each other. Very hard nowadays with teenagers. We will definitely come back!
Local attractions were nice-tubing-hiking-the falls-swinging bridge! Thank you! Beth, Ed and boys"
"We recently took two of our grandchildren to this cabin for a few days. Made some wonderful memories with them. We had only been there for a few hours and they wanted to know if we could come there every year. Everything was very clean, updated and nice but a had that "cabin feel" to the décor with all the modern comforts. They loved the creek and the hot tub as well as making smores around the fire in the evening. Didn't have to spend a lot of money to find things to entertain them while there. Two $3.00 floats from the dollar store and they were set for hours of fun in the creek!!! Hope we can make this our mountain trip destination for years to come."
"I would highly recommend this cabin. It is clean, spacious and sits on a wonderful creek. You will sleep like a baby with the windows open, and your kids will love the creek. The fire pit allowed for roasting marshmallows. There are plenty of places to sleep. The owners was very accommodating and accessible if needed. We will return."
"Our Family visited this cabin for a 3 days getaway, and we loved it. The creek on the backside is awesome & very relaxing. We enjoyed the fireplace at night , had a campfire. There is Lot of Open Space around the rental , perfect for kids to Run , Play Frisbee & fly kite.
The kitchen was equipped , and the cabin was clean. There was a big front and back porch, and a deck by the creek. In addition, there was a swing over the creek that was perfect for the summer."

This was not a planned trip. We decided the night before to get away for a couple of days. We love the Blue Ridge, GA, area. Lots to see and do. We ride a Gold Wing Motorcycle and enjoy the great roads in that area. We found this waterfront cabin, and decided to take a chance to see if it was available. My husband talked to the owner, Sherry. We were pleasantly surprised the cabin was available for rent. Sherry was a pleasure to deal with! The entire rental process went smoothly and was very convenient. Within a few hours of contacting Sherry, we were on our way. The cabin is well equipped and clean! We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs on the front porch, but every night we sat around the fire pit enjoying a fire and the sounds of the creek. The cabin is much roomier than it appears on the outside. We opened our bedroom window and went to sleep listening to the sound of the creek. We watched deer play in the yard every morning we were there. You will not be disappointed in this cabin or location! Here's a few recommendations. Joe's BBQ, Blue Ridge, GA, really good BBQ, and Joe is a really nice guy! He treated us like we had been friends forever! Southern Charm restaurant, Blue Ridge, GA, southern cooking, reasonably priced. Mercier Orchards is a must; fresh fruit and vegetables, fried pies. We actually had breakfast there when we left to head back home, and it was very good. There are no words to adequately describe this rental property. It's like a little piece of heaven! Thanks, Sherry, for sharing your place! We'll be back for sure! Read more
We do encourage last minute travelers to go ahead and take the plunge, so we do all we can to make it happen when the urge arises :> Our motorcycle riders are welcome as well. Most of the travel to the cabin is on paved roads, and that last bit of gravel is fairly level and packed. So, c'mon up!

My husband and I have been to blue ridge 4 times now and this was our first time staying in this particular cabin! We absolutely loved it! We slept up stairs and left the small window above our bed open and fell asleep to the peaceful sound of the water rolling over the rocks in the river! The cabin was beautiful and very cozy! We enjoyed a fire inside every night and also a few outside under the amazing night sky a few times as well! The hot tub was perfect after hours of hiking! We do a lot of hiking and outdoors activities while we are in blue ridge and the cabin location was perfect! We were so happy because all of the cabins in the area were vacant the week we went so it felt like we had the entire road and river to ourselves! :) Thank you so much for an amazing stay! We will without a doubt be back! Read more
Yay! Another happy customer :> So glad you made good use of the firewood we provide, and the convenient hot tub right outside the back door under the porch roof. It is a great place to relax w/the creek sights and sounds just steps away. We look forward to your next visit!

Upon arriving the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of the cabin. It was immaculate! Very cozy without being too small. We really enjoyed all the property has to offer, the hot tub, decks and porch and the creek is great. We visited nearby downtown Blue Ridge and Caretcay Vineyards in Ellijay. It was the perfect getaway for my husband and I, and we are planning to return very soon.

The cabin was wonderful. We traveled with 4 adults and 4 children. We had plenty of room and a blast playing in the creek. Are reasoning for going was to watch the Clemson/Georgia game. The kids stayed in the creek, walking up a ways and floating down. A lot of times they would float past the cabin and past the neighbors houses and walk back. The neighbors were super nice to the kids and let them walk through their backyards to get home. My favorite part besides Clemson winning was the swing over the creek. So relaxing!!! Sherry is a wonderful home owner. We were lucky enough to have her near by that weekend if we needed anything she was so friendly and even bought us some marshmallows for the campfire. We will definitely be back, just wish we could bring dogs. Thanks sherry for sharing your wonderful home.

I am writing this review because the prior reviews were the primary reason our family chose this location and I am happy to encourage others to stay here as well. I agree that the photos understate the property. The cabin is very cozy and clean and on a nicely sized property and the proximity to the creek is unbeatable. Like another reviewer I bought tubes for my kids (8, 6 and 4) and they loved playing in the creek. For us it helped greatly that the neighboring property had a 9 year old and a 6 year old who were great playmates for my kids. We saw deer and fireflies in the evening. The beds were comfortable but the rooms tend to get light early so I brought a couple of black garbage bags to cover the windows where my kids slept. Also note the sleeping loft is really for someone who is not a light sleeper - it is very open to the rest of the house. I estimate it took us 15 minutes to get to Blue Ridge. We really enjoyed the Lily Pad Village and a few local hikes to small waterfalls. We also enjoyed eating at the L & L Beanery. Sherry was very easy to work with. I highly recommend this property. We visited this cabin for a long weekend girl's getaway, and we loved it! The minute we got out of our car, we could hear the creek, and we immediately relaxed. Although we visited in the winter, it was relaxing to listen to and beautiful to see. We enjoyed the fireplace at night, and the beds and futons were comfortable. The kitchen had nice appliances, and the cabin was clean. There was a big front and back porch, and a deck by the creek. In addition, there was a swing over the creek that would be perfect in the summer. We visited the town of Blue Ridge, which had several nice restaurants, antique shops and boutiques. There are several other small towns in the area where we shopped and dined. Dawsonville has an outlet mall, and I would recommend visiting Dohlonega and Elijay. The Toccoa River Restaurant, a short drive from Blue Ridge, has recently reopened, and provided a beautiful setting for a delicious meal. We had a great weekend, and I would recommend staying in this cabin. If only we could have stayed longer! Read more
Thank you so much for the great review! We're very glad you relaxed so well at the cabin, and got to enjoy some of the many local attractions, too. We look forward to having you back when you CAN stay longer. ;)

Fall Break to Ride Blue Ridge Scenic Railway
Left on 10/08/2012 for a stay in October 2012 | Patty
We had a very short fall break and took our 5year old grandson (who is crazy about trains) to Blue Ridge, Ga to ride the Scenic Railway. We stayed at a terrific cabin about 10 minutes out from Blue Ridge that had a beautiful creek running behind it. The area was very pretty, not remote (which is what we wanted) but private enough. We used the great fire pit and enjoyed the deck by the creek. The cabin is lovely, has everything you want/need and the owner is so very nice. All in all we would give this trip a 5 star. Blue Ridge itself is great, full of very friendly people. The train ride was terrific and our little one has super memories. Read more

The Cabin was so relaxing with the sound of the water all tyhe time. When we did go out for a day trip - Mercer, Blue Ridge, swinging bridge (lots to do) - the kids were begging to go "home" as they loved the creek, catching fish, salamander etc. We had a fire every night, went for walks and felt so refreshed when we arrived home. Accomodation was great - 4 kids. Read more

Mountain Cabin on the river getaway-Heaven

had a long weekend get away with wife and another couple. Chose this cabin for quiet location, to decompress and enjoy the leaves as this was just past the peak for fall colors. The cabin was nice inside, very comfortable, with plenty of places to sit and talk, have breakfast and alike. Had two baths, both with plenty of towels.
Outside on back deck was a jacuzzi for 4 and out over the river was a deck where you could just sit and listen to the sounds of the water tumble over the rocks. they had a swing down closer to the water, but due to the cold temps, chose not to chance taking a header into the river to get to the swing. In summer... yes a good spot. there is a fire pit we used one night under the stars. really nice. Apple orchards back towards town and some fun shops in Blue Ridge as well as decent places to eat. we'll be back.

This beautiful cabin is located on a private lot and nestled by a beautiful creek. The Cabin is decorated so cute and cozy, I didn't want to leave.Everything was provided that you could possibly need. I enjoyed getting back to nature and the beautiful scenery, but there were plenty on televisions and even WiFi for those who might want to take advantage of those. There is a firepit just up the hill from the creek for roasting marshmallows or just catching up.This Get a way is a great value and I will definitely visit again! The cabin was great, a nice place to relax and get away from everyday stresses. The cabin was a nice mix of a traditional log cabin but still having all the mod cons you want on holiday (hot tub, dishwasher, wifi, etc.)
Our son loved the creek behind the cabin. He would have fished for minnows all day if we would have let him. There was also a nice space out front for him to run around.
The booking process was straightforward, with the deposit and fees easily taken by Paypal (great since we live abroad). Also, it was easy to find the key on arrival (and without the hassle of stopping at an agency to pick up the key on the way as some other rentals in the area require).

We stayed at the cabin for 4 days in July for a mini family vacation. This was the first time we have ever been to Blue Ridge before and our expectations were high. This cabin really was great, especially for the price. It is secluded enough to make you feel close to nature, but close enough to town to make it easy to run to the store for supplies. The kids really enjoyed the creek behind the cabin. We bought inner tubes and let the kids play all day. Great experience, we will defiantly do this again!

We took our 4 kids, 17, 15, 14 and 12 for a "get away from it all" vacation. This cabin was perfect. Very open and comfortable floor plan. Front porch was perfect for sitting and watching the rain, back porch has a spa for relaxing in the evening. Kids had a blast in the creek (get heavy duty inner tubes from amazon or something).
Even in July, the evenings are cool where you can sleep with the windows open and need blankets. It was wonderful to listen to the sounds of the creek as you drifted off to sleep. Neighbors are few and what there are, they are quiet. Internet access is a nice touch. It's a rustic location but being able to waste some time browsing the Internet is nice.
Picnic table by the creek or the swing over the creek is perfect for spending some time reading.
Stores are not too far away but not too close either. Cabin is well stocked with utensils, all the cooking tools you need. A grill is provided if you want to use it. Kids can watch tv or play video games, if they convinced you to bring them, either in the loft or a separate room (where you can close the door so you don't have to listen to all of the explosions, etc.). Both tv's have a dvd player.
There's lots to do nearby if you want to have a busy vacation. We took one day and went white water rafting (ocoeerafting.com). Overall we had a very relaxing vacation, the kids enjoyed the busy times but also the downtime. We can't wait to go back, absolutely loved it.

we really enjoyed the cabin. It was everything we as for. We wanted on by a stream & it was and the swing over the water made it even better. We cookhot dogs in the fire pit by the creek & cooked out on the grill & ate on the back porch so we could listen to the creek & watch a family of ducks. The cabin was great plenty of room. It was just two of us but we could have slept more. It was close to town. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Sherri the owner was great she answered all our questions & was very helpful. She has a basket with brochures of everything you might want to do. Grest cabin would book again

When we got to the cabin, we were very excited. Just to get away for a few days and relax without having to take care of anyone but ourselves. The yard was huge and the creek out in the back was so calming. Even though the water was ice cold, we still got on the swing. At night, we could open the windows and listen to the water trickle and it was great to sleep by. I definitely want to visit again, when I can bring my kids. It is definitely kid friendly. They have plenty of area to play outside and can even play in the water in the back!
