The Summit is located in the heart of the Aska Adventure Area and stands at the top of Bill's Ridge at an elevation of 2,365 ft., one of the highest elevations in Fannin County. It's easy to find though, as paved roads lead you all the way to the base of the mountain continuing 1/2 way up to the top. The road to the top of the mountain literally ends at this very private and luxurious cabin. To add to the privacy, this mountain community is accessed by a coded gate entry and the back of the cabin and property adjoins the national forest. Deer frequently meander through the property and are easily spotted from the deck around sunrise and sunset.
The cabin is constructed of hand hewn pine but the windows dominate. The cabin boasts an enormous two story front gable and two gables on the sides giving the living area and kitchen an abundance of light and awe inspiring views of the natural setting outside. A ten foot wrap around covered deck as well as an uncovered patio area allows for great enjoyment of the surroundings. Two fire places, one located on the outside deck, add to the over all warmth and charm. In addition, the deck includes two tables, one can seat 6 and the other 4 comfortably for al fresco dining while enjoying the beautiful sunset over the mountains in the distance adding to a wonderful dining experience. The cabin also boasts exquisitely hand carved teak furniture imported from Indonesia (including all of the bedroom furniture) and coupled with the hand scraped hard wood floors add to the rich feel and atmosphere of refined rustic flair. The cabin has four bedrooms which all include king beds and television in each bedroom. Also, each bedroom has it's own private bathroom with shower and/or tub which allows maximum privacy for all guests. The master bedroom has a separate shower and jetted Jacuzzi tub as well as it's own private and very spacious West facing veranda. In addition, each bathroom has been carefully styled with it's own blend of natural travertine stone which adds to the rustic feel of the cabin. The recreation room downstairs includes plush carpeting, thirteen foot ceilings, enormous transom windows, a championship billiard table, television as well as a full wet bar with refrigerator and dishwasher. A six person fully jetted hot tub is located off of the recreation room outside and has gorgeous views of the surroundings. A 40" Mitsubishi LCD flat screen with center voice speaker in the great room allows you to enjoy your favorite movies and sports while on your vacation. Also, the entire cabin is complimented by an iPod friendly audio system that is wired throughout the house and includes robust speakers in the main living area, outside decks and dining area, hot tub location and recreation room, each zone controlled by individual speaker volume controls.
Most importantly, the location of The Summit is unsurpassed for all of your vacation needs. It can be reached by a short drive from the town of Blue Ridge down Aska Rd which is one of the most beautiful drives in the Blue Ridge area, or by Rock Creek and Stanley Creek Rd. which winds through a canopy of forest as it makes it's way through the Rich Mountain Wildlife Preserve. Excellent hiking and trail heads are 3 miles in either direction down Aska or Stanley Creek Rd., with a beautiful waterfall easily accessible from the Stanley Creek Rd. trail head. The entrance to the mountain where The Summit is located is within walking distance of the Toccoa River where an abundance of trout fishing and rafting are available. It's location is also less than 1/4 mile to the Toccoa Riverside restaurant which sits along side the river with great views of the rushing waters below, and specializes in freshly caught trout. Another 1/4 mile down from the restaurant is the Toccoa Wilderness Outpost which offers rafting gear, grocery supplies, as well as a full breakfast menu each morning and home made barbecue for lunch. Just on the other side of the river is beautiful Lake Blue Ridge. The lake can be accessed by boat launch 5 1/2 miles down Aska Rd or by driving another few miles to the marina. Pontoon boats and jet ski rentals are available by the day or half day. In addition, less than an hour away, the Ocoee River with class 3, 4, & 5 rapids offers some of the best adventure rafting and kayaking in the region. If adventure isn't on the agenda for the day, the charming town of Blue Ridge offers a beautiful setting to take in it's quaint shops and cafes and it is also the departure location for the famous Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. This cabin has a unique blend of refinement and unquestionable rustic charm which is complimented by it's one of a kind settings. It is our hope that this combination allows you to better feel the distinctive beauty as well as the rugged wilderness that are both hallmarks of the North Georgia Mountains and serve as the perfect site for this unparalleled get away that we call The Summit.TripAdvisor property ID 3727485...Read more

The Summit is a great get away. It is very private, being at the to of the mountain. The house is beautiful and very clean. It has everything that you need to make your stay pleasant. Everything in the house works. This was our second trip to the house. The owners are great people and a pleasure to work with. We have already rented for our next stay from the same people and will continue to do so as long as we need to rent a cabin.

Another fantastic weekend at the Summit the third this year and everything as perfect as usual. The cabin is always a pleasure to stay at with top quality furnishings, linen, appliances etc. and is always very clean. A discovery worth taking note on if you are lucky enough to stay at the Summit is to buy steaks from Taste of amish shop in Blue Ridge they are superb. Then head to the cabin fire up the grill, open a bottle of red and there you have the makings of the start to a truly relaxing weekend.

Great service along with a peaceful & private setting made for an overall excellent vacation experience. We had no problems whatsoever during our stay. Having the 4 Master Suites was just the convenience we needed to give all of our guests the ultimate experience. We had plenty of towels & washcloths as well as the convenience of on on-site washer & dryer if we so desired to wash what was provided.
The location of The Summit is top-notch. The community is gated, private, and very quiet. There is great hiking nearby, we especially enjoyed Fall Branch Falls. We also enjoyed a day in the little historic town of Blue Ridge, very quaint with an great selection of shops.
Within the home the integrated sound system & gas-assisted wood burning fireplaces were added bonuses. The pool table was a big hit! Lots of fun, we may just be back...
“Awesome weekend at the best Cabin in Blue Ridge!”

We just got back from a weekend stay at the Summit in Blue Ridge and it was wonderful. The pictures, although awesome, do not even begin to describe the beauty of this cabin. We had 4 couples along for the trip and this cabin was very accommodating. Everyone had plenty of space and the outdoor fireplace was our gathering spot! This cabin is well worth the money and the owner is very nice and helpful. I will be returning with my family and friends in the future.
“Calling this a "cabin" does not do it proper justice!”

What a beautiful and well appointed luxury spot in the mountains. The drive to the large cabin is easy, the location is, as the name implies, at the summit of the mountain, in a lovely and private gated community. There is nothing missing here - from a well stocked spice cabinet, to plenty of dishes and glassware to accomodate a full house, to the softest down comforters found on each bed, and updated bathrooms to rival any 5-star hotel. The owner did everything in his power to ensure our stay would be perfect, and it was! We will definitely be back!
