I would absolutely recommend renting this cabin! My girlfriend and I stayed here on a Friday and Saturday night in mid January. She always talked about us getting away for a weekend and going to the mountains. So, for Christmas of 2013 I rented this cabin for us for a weekend. And what a weekend!
When we arrived, the place was immaculate. The cabin itself is very nice with a great kitchen and a very relaxing outdoor fireplace. The hot tub on the bottom floor was one of our favorite parts. The view from the hot tub was unreal. It seemed like you got a new view every few hours as the sun changed position. The downstairs was a very cool bar-ish type room. The master was more than comfortable; huge bed, dual shower heads, nice view.
During our stay we hiked up to the waterfalls that are nearby and then hit the swinging bridge. Both of which were very cool and worth going to Blue Ridge for by themselves. Aside from these little excursions, we mostly stayed at the house and just enjoyed the cabin and it's views.
I was really worried about where the cabin would be located on the mountain. It did not disappoint!! It's pretty well up the mountain, enough to offer some great views.
The owners were great to deal with, and were beyond accommodating.
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway, this is your place!

If you are looking for an awesome retreat to unwind, relax and enjoy life, this is the place. It is our second stay at Falling Rock. We had the opportunity to spend the week of Thanksgiving last year with our family. An amazing time was had by all. Most of our time was spent on the covered porch in front of the outdoor fireplace. It was a gathering place for "morning coffee", a spot in the afternoon to hear the adventures of the "zip liners", stories from the younger ones who spent the afternoon panning for gems, tales from the "horseback riding trails but most important, a gathering spot for an evening to visit with local friends and family.
The elegant cabin is the perfect place to retreat. The views are awesome from sunrise to sunset. It is spacious and picture perfect for making memories. The owners are attentive and keep the cabin
well maintained. A pleasure to work with.
Our trip second trip for 10 days in October was delightful. My daughter had "girls weekend get-a-way" which included (a must) lunch at the Mexican Rest. in McCaysville, shopping in Blue Ridge and a cocktail at the Whistle Stop. However, they were anxious to get back to the cabin to enjoy the sunset and the view because we hit almost perfect timing of the changing of the leaves. A wonderful time was had by all.
I see reviews mentioning the steep drive...well its the mountains!
Put the car in the right gear and you zip right up..Never had a problem...Trust me, once you open the door of this cabin...you aren't gonna want to leave. Thank you Brian & Debbie for the opportunity to stay, again. I have returned to the "flat land of Florida ...when I feel the stress coming back I whip out my "I-phone" loaded with incredible pictures of our stay at Falling Rock and life is once again a little less stressful:) for the moment:)

We had an amazing time in Blue Ridge. The cabin is definitely luxurious, but yet very comfortable for everyone. We all loved having coffee in the morning while looking on the mountain range to relaxing in the hot tub at night. I found the kitchen well equipped. We cooked almost all meals there. There is WiFi throughout the cabin.
We hiked several trails near the cabin and went tubing and white water rafting. The cabin is about 10 minutes from town.
When we left, my kids (13 and 17) didn't want to leave. We promised we would come back in the Fall.
The communication was so quick and easy with Brian. I highly recommend this cabin and think this is the best place to stay when you want a relaxing vacation.

It was a beautiful place and we were amazed when we got there. The pictures don't do the cabin justice. We had an awesome time seeing the sites that where in the area and also exploring. Saw a bunch of wildlife and things that we wouldn't see around Florida. There were deer that came right up to our drive way and also some smaller wildlife. The hot tub had an amazing view and was great for the nights it was colder. Even though there was other cabins around us we still felt very secluded. Also the stars are breathtaking at night I haven't seen that many in a long time.
