Description

This recently refurbished cottage, which was available for its first season in 2011, provides comfortable living accommodation for up to six people. With its own large, enclosed garden with garden room and patio area, it provides a safe environment for families.

It is 500 yards from the stunning, moated Bodiam Castle and grounds, while the Bodiam Station of the Kent and East Sussex steam railway is visible from the property. The River Rother is also nearby. There is a pub 500 yards away and a shop 4 miles away. Rye,Tenterden, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Battle and Hastings are all within a 30-minute drive of the property, making this the perfect base for anyone wishing to explore 1066 Country and beyond. It is ideally situated for walkers, with many footpaths accessible from the door.

The Old Cricket Pavilion is reached by a private lane leading only to the cottage itself and the adjacent farm. It overlooks open countryside from every aspect, with views of vineyards from the lounge. It is part of a working farm, so it is possible that livestock will be grazing in the field behind the cottage on occasions throughout the year.

There is a large play area about a 10 minute walk (or 3 mins in the car)from the pavilion up our private drive exclusively for guests staying at our cottages, with swings, slides and tyres to climb, also goal posts so bring your football !!!

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
