This apartment is very well located in the center city, easy walking distance from the cathedral, the university, the art museum and other sights. The owners live nearby, and are very helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to supply a new Wi-Fi device when the original device failed during a thunder storm. The apartment is beautifully furnished, with large rooms that are well-lit and very clean. The beds were actual beds, not cots or pull-outs, providing a welcome departure from standard apartment-rental practice. Staying in this highly recommended apartment was a real pleasure, making Bologna one of our best stops.
There is a gelato stand downstairs and a number of restaurants on the next street. We liked Donatello's so much that we eat there three nights in a row.
"Great Location, Spacious and Highly Secure"

We stayed 4 nights in Bologna and OLYMPIA was a great home-away-from-home. This loft apartment was spacious, tastefully decorated and the 1.5 bathroom was a plus! My husband and I stay on the loft with our own bath; my 14-year-old son stay on the pullout couch below the loft and he had his own 0.5 WC. The clothe washer worked well, and the high spin cycle took away most of the moisture. There is no clothe dryer so we just hung items on hangers and lined them up on the loft railing. There is no storage on the loft but plenty of closet space on the main level.
The owner Paola had a large bowl of fruits and two bottles of chilled beverage already prepared upon our arrival. Very thoughtful. Kitty (property manager?) met us at the front of the bldg when our taxi arrived, then we went through 3 locked doors before we even arrived at the loft unit. The location is superb, close to everything and we tour the city on foot everyday. It's a beautiful and secure building with an old fashion elevator. We enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this unit.

The appartment is quite spacey and well mended. It is fully equipped and within a 5 min walk of the city centre and other enjoyable ares of Bologna.
We had a gret time in a very enjoyable city. Fully recommendable.
With some of the best cuisine in of all Italy, world-class theater and nightlife, and amazing terracotta-roofed architecture, the historical city of Bologna has it all! Bologna is a great walking city because of the clear street signs and amazing architecture everywhere you turn. While you are here, be sure to visit Piazza Maggiore, the main square, where you'll find many of the best museums and souvenir shops.
Here are a few additional suggestions of things to do in Bologna:
- Fountain of Neptune: Built almost 500 years ago, this fountain is considered to be one of the symbols of Bologna.
- University Quarter: With several universities, Bologna is widely known as a student-friendly town and the quarter is full of great bars and cafes.

- Glossatori Tombs: The beautiful tombs here are over 700 years old and home to some of the city's most famous scholars throughout history.
