My spouse and our children along with another family had the pleasure of staying at this majestic villa for four (4) nights which definitely was not enough time. The villa is absolutely beautiful starting with the impressive driveway as you enter and the magnificent gardens! The gardens are adorned with flowering plants so you get the sense as if you are in your own tropical paradise.
The villa is immaculate with all amenities provided in the kitchen and sufficient beach and bath towels. The two sitting rooms that are equipped with large screen televisions are perfect as it allowed the children to watch their particular show in one area and the adults in another. The pool is adequate enough in size so you can take a comfortable swim from one end to the other, and the children had some fun times even late into the night as the pool water never seemed to get cold.
Perhaps, I should have began my review with how pleasant the owner Mervyn is to do business with as he is truly a gentleman who is very courteous and quick to respond to his emails. Mervyn made the whole booking quite a pleasant experience and it was indeed a pleasure to speak with him on the morning after our arrival as he telephoned to ensure that all was in order at the villa. It is actually the first time that I have stayed at a villa and had the opportunity to speak to the owner who was simply checking on his guests. Great personal touch Mervyn!
Villa de Lena provides the perfect ambience needed for a wonderful and restful vacation with family and friends. The rate charged for the villa is great given its size and beauty.
I would highly recommend this villa for families as there is enough room for children to have their fun whilst remaining in a secure environment. Villa de Lena can only be described as a Picture Perfect Botanical Treasure that will leave you longing to return for a next visit.

My family stayed at Villa de Lena in august 2010 for our vacation, firstly it was extremely clean, kudos to Mrs. Velma and Mrs. Mirriam the housekeepers. The pool was clean and was equipped with a heater so the kids were there all through the night. All the amenities were as described. Mr. Mervyn the Owner was very helpful whilst coordinating the logistics of the trip and stay. I have never met him in person but he is a great individual. After the five night stay we left with heavy hearts, but we will definitely be staying there again.

I woke up in Paradise, astonished by the perpetual beauty of Villa de Lena and the tranquility of the surroundings! Villa de Lena is simply the place to stay while in Tobago, the Capital of Paradise. The beautiful Island, the welcoming beaches, the friendly people but most of all the property; Villa de Lena, has left me wanting to be back! The architecture is outstanding, the villa is superbly attractive and the rental rate is ridiculously low. The villa is absolutely well-furnished, leaving one only in need of fresh food. This however is not a problem; there is a well assorted grocery store relatively close by.
The grounds and the gazebo which I understand is designed and maintained for accommodating weddings and other social events, are embraced by a lush tropical garden that can be only compared to the best. Being a lover of birds and plants I gouged each precious moment of my stay. The Housekeeper Velma is efficient and friendly, the owner is very professional and helpful; all this made my family and I feel sad about leaving.
Villa de Lena, we will be back and I will take friends with me to enjoy your splendor, the trills and the ambiance of your lay-out. Oh Pigeon Point you are special, what a sun tan I got from lying on your shiny sand and sparkling waters! You are a son of a beach, I won't forget you; you are among the very best.
Villa de Lena you are a real 5-star, that's what you are!

We had rented Villa de Lena for a short vacation in Tobago, after our daughter's wedding at the Hyatt in Trinidad. Villa delena was the envy of our wedding guests who stayed at Cocoreef resort hotel, and at other villas nearby! The Villa de Lena was comfortable, clean, safe and the architecture of the building, breathtakingly beautiful. It is located near to beaches and other amenities.
Mervyn the owner, was hands-on with our comfort and security; the pool was cleaned sparkling, bright and early in the morning. Mosquito repellent was sprayed outside the home, to address the problem of these unfriendly neighbours. There is garbage pick up almost every other day; Clean towels, and linen were at our disposal. Besides all of this, the Villa comes with a fully functional kitchen, with lots of bowls, dishes, trays, baking pans, the various kitchen tools, cutlery, crockery, and flat ware. Equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, Washer, Dryer, Iron and hair-dryer, we had absolutely nothing short.
Mrs. Velma Jackson is a great housekeeper; she was friendly and helpful and is a `God-loving` woman - we hit it off very well, eventhough we belong to different denominations!
I am pleased to recommend the Villa De Lena, for any one who would prove themselves worthy of it!

The Villa De Lena was recommended by a stand in gardner who undertook work at the villa. I was looking for a venue and I was not happy with any of them. On arriving I said to my then fiancee that this was the venue. I gave him no choice, but he was happy.
Mervyn was brilliant, his communication was sound and made us feel so comfortable and Ms. Velma, was like my Villa mummy, so helpful and kind.
We had our wedding ceremony in the gazebo at the back and it was amazing, the space was perfect and the pictures are truly amazing. There was not a bad photo. My favourite is of me on the white spiral stair case in the house, amazing.
The reception was held on the front lawn but many of our guests ended up in the pool. Everyone commented on the villa and we did not have to travel to Botanical gardens because we had the garden area for the photos. It was scary because there was a very big storm the day before, but it was perfect on the day and the flowers and grass just blossomed.
Several of our guests were taken aback when they arrived, because a few of them actually worked on the villa when it was being built. So, it was a bit like a tour for some people.
The fact that the villa is white means that it is the perfect venue for a wedding. You are so close to the beach and the lagoon, but you feel like you are in a place of sanctuary as it is so peaceful.

We adored our stay from to off...Mervyn the owner was most gracious & helpful so we were full of confidance that we were going to have a fabulous time in his beautiful home. The house was even more lovely than we had thought it would be & the gardens spectacular (even better than the photos on the web!!!) a real feat considering the lack of rain so great credit to alf the gardener. Velma cooked us a fabulous meal on our first night (it was enough for several nights!!) so get her to cook for you...just delicious!! The pool was perfect (we think the pool man came pre-dawn as it was sparkling every day but we never saw him!!)& on returning to the house my son & I went directly to the pool in order not to waste a precious moment.
The house itself is really light & airy;it was very hot during our stay so the air-con in the bedrooms was a relief. There is an excellent sound system so take some Cd's with you.Villa de Lena was a truly magical place to stay- very quiet yet within easy reach of local shops & 5 minutes from Pigeon Point.
It was with heavy hearts & a little tear that after 10 perfect days we had to wave good-bye. As we say in France truly Magnifique!!!

From start of our vacation to the end, we enjoyed every minute of our stay at this magnificient Villa. It was a "Palace in Paradise". Velma was the sweetest person you could ever meet. The Villa was always clean and well taken care of and this included the grounds. It was ideally located, just a few minutes to the airport, restaurants, beaches, groceries, etc. We celebrated Peter's 60th birthday here and our friends and family from England, Canada, and Trinidad enjoyed the occasion with us and were equally impressed with the Villa and its locale.
