“Perfect Getaway at the Kokomo” We rented the Kokomo Beach House in Casuarino Point for 9 days and was so totally impressed with the place that we felt like we were at home...everything you could possibly need or want was at the house. The house is beautifully decorated and the view from the front porch is priceless. We spent endless days and nights sitting on the porch enjoying a cocktail or two and just enjoying the view. The beach is a gorgeous white sand beach with turquoise waters to swim, paddle or boat on...walks on the beach in the early morning to the point to watch the sunrise were peaceful and beautiful...sunsets were watched right from our porch or out in front of the place on the beach...you get the best of both worlds from this location. Marsh Harbour is about 15 miles away, but this gives you the opportunity to pick up groceries, etc. while you are in town and enjoy grilling and making your meals back at the house. A very much needed fun relaxing trip was had by the 4 of us and highly recommend the renting of the Kokomo Beach House or one of Kathy's other 3 houses on Casuarino Point!

“Great Vacation” Gone Bananas is arguably the newest and nicest property on Lubbers. Lubbers is a short boat boat ride from Elbow Cay and the Hopetown Settlement. Lubbers doesn't have many amentities besides Lubbers Landing, Cracker P's, Down Deep Fish Store and Dee's Bread, but if you are comfortable handling a center console, it's a great place to be away from the crowd without being too far away. Both Patrick and austin are excellent proprieters at the two restaurants. Definitely rent a 20-23 ft boat (Albury recommended) for your entire stay so you can easily hop over to Tilloo, Hopetown or Nippers on Great Guana Cay. A stretch golf cart is provided and is perfect for checking out the island and taking things to and from the boat. The house has an easy to operate generator for the routine power outages (power outages are part of the charm of the Bahamas). The Wifi was solid and all of the appliances were new and in good shape. We had very safe dockage for our boat. It was pretty much protected from all wind directions. We had a great trip and can't wait to get back. - Bill and Karen

Very nice

The house, Lost and Found, was fantastic. Very spacious, comfortable and clean and the use of a golf cart was great. The caretakers were very available for questions. The people were friendly and made you feel at home. The island amenities,although somewhat limited, were still ample for family adventure. Ferry service can take you to anywhere with advanced notice and a few locals offer sightseeing, snorkelling/diving and fishing excursions. Would definitely recommend staying here. … see more
Cliff House, Bahamas: Exceptional View!
Our Unforgettable Cliff House Vacation

We spent our 10 day vacation at this beautiful house and I would say this place fulfilled all my dreams about the ocean and tropical beaches. The Cliff House itself really lives up to its name. It sits high on a huge cliff, which gives it a perfect height and distance from the ocean. Even though the house is perched above the bay, it takes just a minute to walk down the wooden stairway to the dock and the beach itself. Speaking of the views, I have to point out my favorite highlight of this house, the swimming pool area: the place where I spent most of my leisure time. I often lost myself sitting on the bench while facing the turquoise bay, the nearby islands and the open ocean in the distance. There is such a wonderful feeling here of being totally embraced by the beauty of the nature. We stayed on the upper level where one master bedroom and two twin bedrooms are connected by a large kitchen and a living room. This structure lets everyone in the family stay close together, but provides enough space and privacy for each person. Spending our vacation here made routine parts of my daily life turn into special and pleasurable moments. My most enjoyable moment was to watch the sunrise in bed through a large French window in my bedroom every morning. Even the time spent in the bathroom became more pleasant with the pretty picture made with local seashells by Lixia, our friendly hostess. During these 10 days, I witnessed all kinds of weather, from sunshine to rain. One evening I was very excited to watch a thunderstorm from my room. It was surprising to discover that lightning across the dark sky here could be that astonishingly beautiful. Another thing I'd also like to point out is that it's very close from where we stayed to other islands and beaches, including Hopetown and Tahiti Beach, which is definitely a day-trip you won't want to miss! Sea Oats Cottage in Hope Town Elbow Cay, Bahamas
Always a pleasure.

I have visited Elbow Cay for over 30 years, at least 30 times. It use to be a secret destination. I have stayed in your cottage a couple of times so far. From beginning to end, the accommodations were perfect for my needs. The location, price and ability to have boat, which is huge in the islands, cannot be beat. If you want to watch TV - forget it. This is a place of comfortable and appreciated solitude. Thank goodness for the dune restoration! They have been taken a beating over the years. Dunes are importance to the safety of the homes there. It was very easy to place a couple resin chairs over the dune and enjoy the view. Also if no ones upstairs I have been known to sit there. No guest no foul. If you want to remember the islands the way I prefer, a quiet small cottage is the answer. I collect sea glass, enjoy local restaurants, friends and know if I need anything, your caretaker is close by. He is very nice. Thank you for keeping it simple. That's our style. And over the years many places have lost that charm. Elbow cay is a paradise for us. Too bad it's not a secret anymore. Can't wait for next trip down! … see more

Magical

We are on the plane heading home and thinking about abaco Palms. :-) Flawless, absolutely Flawless and Breathtaking!!! Kathy, you and Gary have done a fantastic job. Everything went smoothly. The house and the grounds are all so well kept, and every single thing worked. The skiff is priceless. Cherokee sounds was like our playground, and we had the right vessel to get us around our playground. We Snorkeled and fished till our hearts were content. We followed your maps in the book on the table and found great snorkeling spots right out front. The outside hot shower was so convenient. We went on this trip back in November 2013 and I'm still talking about abaco Palms. Sorry for the late review, however, our feelings are still the same. Magical!!! Ray White … see more

Beautiful and relaxing vacation spot.

Had a great relaxing vacation at this wonderful vacation home. Well maintained and landscaped. Featured wonderful views and easy transportation by golf cart to the beach and other interesting places on the island. Patti and Dave Hanaforde were wonderful hosts and very helpful in explaining to us different places to snorkel and fish. We thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the island with not hearing vehicles of any kind except golf carts. We will be coming back soon to Lubbers Quarters and Top Banana for another wonderful vacation. … see more
