“Perfect!” Visited DR for my daughter's senior Spring Break. While most chose an all-inclusive resort, we wanted the space/freedom of a condo, and Ilia's place did not disappoint... a really special and absolutely perfect vacation! Rental, arrival and check-in were streamlined and simple, and Ilia's driver, manager and maid were all very helpful and welcoming. The condo itself is lovely -- photos are accurate -- and well-located within the complex. The balcony has an unimpeded view of the ocean just a few steps away, and you are also steps from one of the pools. Morning coffee or evening wine with that view + the sound of the ocean = perfection! The complex, including a private stretch of beach, is beautifully maintained, and we never had a problem finding a beach lounger with a direct view of the ocean, whether on the sand or in the shade. Guards on the beach keep away non-residents and the more aggressive vendors (but not the ladies selling massages in the shed next door -- highly recommend!). Activities can be purchased on the beach or from a condo resident. Kids enjoyed ziplining and parasailing. Dining options in the area are fabulous! Within a 1-10 minute walk of the complex are numerous restaurants with great, eager to please service and very affordable prices. Didn't have a bad meal all week, but our favorites were Citrus and Pastrata. Also liked the French bakery across the street, despite the unwelcoming service...Everyone else we encountered, though, was lovely, and we appreciated their help with our dreadful Spanish! For nightlife, there are numerous beach bars, but daughter really enjoyed joining the locals at Danny's across the street from the complex. Sidenote: Friends at the aI resort were told it was dangerous to go off property, but we found this completely untrue...walked everywhere at all hours and never felt unsafe. Our group (both kids and adults!) agreed that a condo -- this condo -- was definitely the way to go. Thanks Ilia and crew!

“Wonderful place” We where two families of 13 had an opportunity to stay in this house for a week and we didn't want to leave. Myrna & Eric was very prompt to answer all the questions (1st time renter) and kindly work with us throughout the whole process. When we arrived, the house keeper was there to greet us with her smile and Alex the local manager to explain how everything was working. The house was everything that Myrna told us: a very big, clean, well kept, organized house. Everything we need was there so that we could have a very comfortable vacation. We felt very at home. The house is very private in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood. The backyard, full of plants and trees to please our eyes. The pool were very well kept and inviting so our kids jumped right after we got situated. It took us 10 minutes to walk to the beach or 5 avenue. Both beach and 5 avenue was amazing. We highly recommend this house to all our friends and other families. Since we only had a week vacation this time, we plan to come back here when we visit Playa Del Carmen again. Hopefully, the house will be available for us again. Thank you to all. You made our vacation so wonderful.

“Great, quiet place to stay” We have three young girls and we were very happy with our week in this condo. The condo itself is a good size for 5-6 people, has everything you need and well maintained. The complex (Stanza Mare) is also well maintained and (in July) pretty quiet. The pool is big, warm and we were mainly the only people in it! Safety and security were not a problem and they have a chaeap laundry service. The beachfront Stanza Mare sits on is great. A much wider part of the beaach than either side of it and lots of trees or strucutres to sit under if the sun gets too much for you. Again, there was hardly anyone on that part of the beach whilst relatively busy either side. the location is also good for local restaurants, shops, fruit stalls and bars, all within five minutes walk of the condo either along the beach or out the back along the roads. Dealing with Nelson was a pleasure, he is helpful and easy to deal with. Whether you are a couple or a family, i highly recommend this condo for a holiday location.

“The Best of Costa Rica!” This was my second visit to Villa Encantada! After the first visit in 2010, my daughter decided this was the place to get married! We returned with a group of 30+. The bridal party(14) stayed at the Villa and Glenn helped to place the rest of us in properties close by, including his sister's house up the hill. The whole event could not have been better! Let me say that Glenn is a great guy and incredible host! If you want to experience the best of Costa Rica, stay with Glenn at the Villa! The grounds are as beautiful as the pictures indicate and you can be entertained right on the property. The Tabacon Lodge and Skywalk at Volcanoes National Park are under one hour drive. Shopping and dining in Nuevo Arenal has a true Tico feel and much better than dealing with the big tourist towns. Pura Vida! Thank you Glenn!

“Pretty Suite, lovely courtyard and great location.” We enjoyed our stay very much. The courtyard is lovely and because this suite is the only one on the ground floor, no one else seems to use it. It was perfect to sit out by the pool or the seating area off the dining room. It was private enough for us but it is an open design with only one shower-not an issue for us either. Small sink and toilet room upstairs. We did feel that the price is a little high. Playa del Carmen seems to be getting more expensive. It is located on a quiet street and we found parking on the side streets and only on the first night, we had to park 6 or so blocks away(it was a Friday evening).

“Great stay in Playacar” We stayed at Casa Price for a week in February 2014, and loved it. We have visited the Playa del Carmen area previously and can't beat the location in PlayaCar. Quick access to the powdery white sandy beach and the beautiful Caribbean, Casa Price has everything we needed. Great views from the open living area on the second floor, the balcony and the roof top terrace. Satellite TV, internet access and laundry were all a bonus and made our trip more enjoyable. Rosa was a terrific in every way; she cooked, cleaned and looked after all the details in the house so everything was perfect. Everything was as promised! Thanks for sharing Casa Price.

“Sandos Playacar is Amazing!” My family - me, my husband and two kids - just returned from an amazing week at the Sandos Playacar in Playa Del Carmen. We had such a fantastic time and LOVED Sandos. Everything was great - the food, the staff, the facilities, the entertainment and more! Sandos is a truly beautiful resort - the hacienda was spacious, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The food at the al a carte restaurants was especially good, although we enjoyed the buffet breakfasts very much. The staff bent over backwards to help us with everything. The beach section was beautiful with plenty of comfortable lounge chairs, beds and hammocks to relax in. A short walk down the beach-2 minutes- brought us to a snorkeling area that was filled with tropical fish. The evening entertainment was top notch! All of our plans were booked through Georgette Flamm who provided detailed information and assistance every step of the way. She provided tons of info about the rooms and the resort, reserved transportation from the airport and gave us other valuable tips about our visit to Sandos. She responded to all of my questions immediately - I really was impressed how easy she made it! I would absolutely recommend Georgette Flamm and Sandos to anyone!!

“A vacation like no other” We were greeted at the airport by Norman, the most professional driver ever, he made our transition smooth and for a group of 12 adults, that is tough! He had thought of everything - including bringing a second van for our luggage! The staff at the villa greeted us at the door with warm smiles and cool towels, they made sure all our luggage was safely delivered to our rooms and then the fun began! We all stopped and stared at the huge view of the Caribbean Sea spread out in front of us, the breeze, the way the rooms are laid out and the villa itself takes total advantage of that view. We quickly changed, and began the most perfect seven days of nothing but relaxing, laughing and eating punctuated by an occasional sightseeing trip. Derek, the butler completely made the trip, he was attentive, but quiet, helpful but never intrusive - he made us feel so special. Ruby, the cook gave us gormet meals three times a day. We discussed our likes and dislikes the first day and she made it all happen. We did not need to go out to dinner and the one night we went to a lovely restaurant in town, we all agreed that we could have stayed home and eaten at Restaurant Ruby for an even better meal. It is tough to please 12 distinct people, but the staff and managment at Serendipity did just that, from organizing the most incredible massage at the villa, to driving us to out of the way Mayfield Falls, they never stopped working. All the rooms were large and private, we never felt on top of one another, we ate meals in different places, by the pool, in the dining room, on the deck, where ever we felt inspired to eat that day, Derek made it happen. I do not have one bad thing to say - I loved every minute, and would recommend Serendipity to a group like us, a large family, or just a few people that want to get away - It was truly a vacation to remember.

“Great Stay in Perfect Location” We stayed for a week in the Martinique Suite and were so happy with the whole experience. Firstly the location is perfect. Right in the heart of Playa with everything you need on your doorstep. The unit is located towards the back, and we weren't disturbed with any noise. We had rented a car and had no problem parking on the street. We met Joe who gave us tips on where to go. He and Francoise were so helpful with the whole process. The Lowdown! - this unit doesn't have an amazing view, (the 2 units above it do) you need to be able to climb 2 sets of stairs to get to it. There is a luggage elevator. The pool is always clean. The internet sometimes goes in and out, worked better in the living room than the bedroom. Skype didn't work for either of us. (we needed it for work otherwise it wouldn't have been a big deal). The furniture is super comfortable, There are lots of novels to read, and great guide books. Bring your own shampoo etc. We were given one set of keys, so if you aren't going out together you need to figure out the best schedule to get back into the building. There isn't an intercom. The AC is controlled with a key to avoid wasting energy when you are not there. Your one set of keys are soldered together onto one keyring, if one person leaves and takes the key the other person cant have the AC on in the unit. A big plus for us was that they provide water in a huge dispenser in the kitchen, We will definitely stay here again and look forward to going back later in the year.

“Super fabulous, very happy family...” The property and villa is exceptional. Very well decorated and has the best vibe for entertaining. Mimi was our concierge and was very helpful and welcoming. This was a surprise trip for my family. All they knew before hand was cancun airport. I had pre arranged night time chef service. That was a+. we had 15 people who were all accomadated for at ease. Anna Paulo was our main chef. She made beautiful desserts! We also had Martin as a daytime bartender, he made sure everyone had a beverage from the dock to the pool to the garden. Good stuff :) The family enjoyed taking the golf carts into the dolphin area with shops and stores. We rented them for the week. The villa had them ready when we arrived in the driveway. Best thing ever was the night entertainment. Worth every penny . Water drums and fire dancers. 1 hour show. So amazing. You feel the drums and the water color splashing about with heat from the fire ...it's quite impressive, must see! I'm already making plans for the next trip back. We felt safe. Had everything a large group needed. Very accomadating. Playa Del Carmen was pretty close by by taxi. Bring water shoes if you go in the ocean. My next trip will include a tequila tasting at villa for one of the nights and a day trip to the salt caves and everything else the same :) Super Fabulous Vacation @ Hacienda Del Mar!! “My stay here was heaven on earth.” My stay on this villa was great. Everything I could imagine and more Food was delicious and authentic; not process or frozen. The master suit where I stayed was immaculate. The power shower to the huge jacuzzi bath. The king size bed made my night rest wonderful. It's felt like I was sleeping on clouds. This villa was hard for me to leave, from pool, xbox, board games and a fantastic pool why must I go outside.(lol). When I decided to go outside it was also a great and wonderful experience. I visited duns river falls, when to the hot spot night club margarita ville, oceans 11, and amnesia. We sang karaoke had great Jamaica drinks and watch the beautiful scenery. All these great attraction only 12mins tops from the villa. However my highlight of the stay is the private beach, only 2min walk from the villa. Great vacation I'm booking another stay for January andirons can't wait...
