“Perfect place to get away from it all.” Cozy, comfortable, & clean cabin. Plenty of things to do without leaving the cabin, or within a short drive (pool). If you are looking to get away from the hustle & bustle, this is a perfect place. Unfortunately, it rained most of our stay so we didn't get to enjoy the pond or pool much. But the hot tub & pool table got plenty of use! The kids loved it and are already asking when we can go back!

“We had a wonderful experience and appreciated having a spotless,” Two big thumbs up for a memorable, unique vacation! We had the best time seeing a lot of sights and experiencing the various area attractions. The Blue Ridge Mountains wrapped in early morning fog were almost ethereal in their beauty, and staying in such a lovely, homey cabin was truly a joy. The cabin was welcoming and cozy in every way -- clean, very well kept, and so comfortable. The scenery was breathtaking from the rocking chairs on the wraparound deck. Although we did not use the hot tub, it was available for us to enjoy. Our entire stay there was a delight, a welcome and warm haven after the harsh Wisconsin winter. “The best weekend getaway of our lives!” We took the trip as a birthday trip for my boyfriend; we just wanted to have a small weekend getaway. As we first arrived, the driveway proved to be very steep (fair warning) (many cabins' driveways are that way) and parking space was small. We had enough room to park and turn our '06 Jeep Grand Cherokee around; however, I do not know if there would be room for two cars at the top of the hill in the parking area for the home. There is room on the hill, though. This was the only issue we had with our stay, and it was very minimal, as it did not affect our trip in the least. We picked the most perfect weekend in January, as it was warm enough to wear shorts any day, and the hot tub on the front porch provided a great view of serenity and sense of privacy. Each bedroom has ample space, and the showers in the bathrooms are very nice. There is a back door leading to a porch that wraps around one side of the cabin and a sitting area on the side. We had such an amazing stay that none of us wanted to leave at the end of that weekend. We will probably plan another stay at this cabin.

“Nice and Cozy” We had a great time during Spring Break 2014. We wanted to do something a little different with grandkids this year, and this Cottage was perfect. (We normally go to Gatlinburg) Cottage sits right on the river with the deck actually out over the river. Hot tub was well taken care of and located where we had a nice view of the river. We didn't realize we had scheduled opening day of trout fishing season, but we took advantage, and my son caught several nice fish right on the property. I enjoyed the fact that the cottage is a part of history, (Former Bat Cave Post Office), yet everything was updated with new fixtures and electronics. The beds slept great, and the grand kids loved the game room. Chimney Rock State Park and little downtown area are just a few minutes from the cottage on the same road. We were a little concerned about available dining close by, but were pleasantly surprised with the variety of options. Also used the available stainless Weber grill on the deck. I am certain we will return later in the summer. The owners were very nice, and made us feel like we were appreciated. Overall a very nice and relaxing vacation. (The massage chair was a bonus when I could get the kids out of it)

“It was a great week.” My church group stayed at the Bear Lodge and the experience more then met our expectations. The lodge was great surrounded by an awesome view. There was no issues the whole week but I did call Ruth one time for a favor and she was happy to help out which I greatly appreciated. We look forward to coming back as soon as we can.

“Loved Deer Lodge” We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Lodge. It was perfect for our family of 4 families. We were there with our son the night before his wedding and what a coincidence that the plaque on the bedroom walls said that the furnishing were from a family from the same town our son was born in. We would love to visit Deer Lodge again someday.

“The perfect solution!” This was a perfect location for our family gathering. A gorgeous setting with comfortable, private bedroom/bathrooms for each family, roomy dining and gathering areas, lots of space to romp for the little ones, and a terrific kitchen that made feeding all of us reasonably priced and easily accomplished. All very accessible to offsite activities... although we were all content to stay onsite some days and enjoy our time together there.

“Clean and comfortable” Great cabin and very comfortable. Owners were very pleasant and prompt in their replies. The cabin itself was very nice and the beds were comfortable. Was disappointed the fireplace was completely cosmetic and had no actual flame. Though the location was fantastic, I was not too thrilled with where the cabin was. I was unaware it was located in what felt like an HOA. All the cabins were on top of each other and it felt more like a neighborhood home. The trip was great though and we appreciate the kindness shown by the owners.

“Location is awesome, the grounds were well maintained and had something for everyone in the family.” The condo was beautiful and very comfortable. Had everything we needed for the week. There are grocery stores that are close for picking up groceries and preparing your own meals. If you prefer not to drive, you can walk down to the street and the trolley stop is right there. Also on the grounds is a playground for the kids, swimming pool, volleyball court, and a beautiful walking path that has benches to sit and enjoy the beauty of the mountains. There is so much to do in the area, so many attractions all within a mile. The Smokey mountains and Gatlinburg are about 20-30 minutes away.
