“Relaxing and fun time with friends.” Overall a wonderful vacation with a great check-in and check-out process, extremely clean amenities, and a great location. The only issue that we had was that for 4 days of our 7 day stay the internet at the house did not work. This would not have been a big deal except for the fact that a number of our party members needed to have internet access in order to complete Grad work and school work. Other than this the visit to OBX and Corolla was wonderful and the Corolla Corral was a fantastic home.

“Decent house, well-stocked” We stayed here for the first year. The house was in a great location, with an easy walk to the beach. The kitchen was so well stocked and we loved the fact that the house provided both bed and bath linens (beds even made for us). We also liked the keyless entry, it was great not to have to worry about carrying a key. We did have an issue with the dishwasher not working which we were not told about. That was not a problem specifically with the house but with the realty company. We loved that the house was dog-friendly. It was nice and clean. We did, however, find a live roach in the sunroom but once we got rid of it, we did not find anymore fortunately. Overall, the house was very nice.

“Perfect” Angi, Thank you for such a wonderful piece of heaven. Your home is so well appointed and so cozy we just felt right at home. We also are so appreciative that you allowed us to bring our four legged little girl. It made this vacation so stress free knowing she was with us. Could you do us a favor next time we stay...could you tell the horses to call before they just show up! lol What a gift! We will definitely be back. Liz and Charlie

“Great Experience!!!” Our family of 6 stayed at Judge's Chambers over the 4th of July week this year. The house was spacious and had a huge, beautiful pool. The location was great - as close to the beach as you can get without renting a house on it. Extra amenities - such as wireless internet and a gas grill - were much appreciated and utilized! Outer Banks Blue had great customer service. Everything was easy and conducted over the phone and internet. Loved the keyless entry and the linens included. On the one occasion that we had to contact them during our trip, they returned our call promptly and happily answered our question. We would highly recommend both Judge's Chambers and Outer Banks Blue to anyone looking for a great Outer Banks vacation!!

“A Fab Family Gathering” We had a great time. The house was comfortable and spacious.The view was wonderful. We were glad to see a wonderfully organized and stocked kitchen- ready for any kind of meal. My only wish would have been sharper knives. It was a perfect visit.

“Smile Away is wonderful!” Smile Away is a great home that offered so much for all the family to do. Plenty of room for the whole family. We usually stay in an ocean front property and was worried about the distance of the home from the beach. Well don't worry! the walk is a short one. Not bad at all. The trade off for us was good because of all that Smile Away had to offer for our family. Our guys especially loved ping pong! We all loved the hot tub. The pool was clean and well kept. We didn't get to do everything the home had to offer because the weather was perfect for once. So, we stayed at the beach most of the time.

“Relaxing and Fun” We had a great family vacation. House was in a great location to shops and beach. Clean and well arranged. Will definately return.

“Great beach! Great House!” Our stay here was terrific. This is our fourth summer renting the same house. We love all the extra amenities, especially the bikes for a family bike ride. We had three families staying and friends that visited while we were there. We all had plenty of space and a great time.

“One of the best Vacations” There were 18 of us in this very comfortable home. The beach was a close walk, pool was great. Absolutely had a fabulous time.

“Awesome Vacation.” The house was great. Water was cold at the ocean. So the pool and hot tub came in handy. The views from the decks was great. Only one problem none of the doors to the multiply decks locked.

“Relaxing with a bonus cheesecake!” Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Slam Dunk. It was an inviting, comfortable home with everything we needed. Having the cheesecake delivered to the front door on our first night there was a wonderfully delicious surprise. We also enjoyed using the pool at Monteray Shores. The only down side was the distance to the beach.

“A well-appointed property” The house was perfect for the two of us, plus the adult couple who visited us for part of our stay. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was clean and well equipped, the living room had all the modern necessities. We loved the in-ground pool, the hot tub, the bicycles, the basketball goal and the beach cart. If we could make one improvement, it would be a larger deck since this one was cut in half by the screened-in porch. But that's a small shortcoming in what is otherwise a superb beach retreat.

“Fabulous layout of the house. Great pool” The house layout was wonderful for a big family like ours. It does need some updates such as: carpet, sliding doors, stove. It was clean and wonderful. The pool was the best feature to this house. We also enjoyed the deck on the top level. We did have a problem with the air conditioner the last evening we were there. Upon calling the numbers given to us, we were told that there were three calls ahead of us and that they probably would not be able to attend to our problem. Really? Other than that the service was fine.

“A great home for a large family gathering.” This is a lovely home, but it is in need of a little special care. The pool area was in need of sweeping (which I did) and clean up. The gas grill was so rusted we were unable to use it. One living room swivel chair was broken. It needed needed new screws. We called OBB and a man came and looked at it. He said he would return to fix it that afternoon and we never saw him again. Otherwise the home was in good condition. By the way I filled one of these out already. You must have lost it.

“Our stay allowed us to create alot of wonderful memories!” Overall, the stay was wonderful! The size of the home was more than accomodating and it was nice to have so many options to sleep! The ease of booking and check in was 5 star! The only down side to this vacation was that the home was not extremely clean and there was an alarm going off in the backyard that was pretty loud. We found a couple of things that may have been left by the cleaning company, but were a bit unsettling. There was a surgeons mask left in one room and insulin needles in another. Also, there was an alarm that went off early one morning in the back yard that was flashing and had a loud beeping noise. We could not turn it off and because it was New Year's day there was no one available to come out and fix the situation. As mentioned before, these are all things that are minor and we had a wonderful vacation creating memories! We would stay in this house again and would recommend this to a friend.

“Wonderful beach vacation” This was a great home that was so very close to the beach. Beautiful home that was equipped with everything. The family had a wonderful time. The pool was so much bigger than I expected. We also liked the fact that it was dog friendly. A very nice touch was that the owner contacted us the second day we were there to see if everything was okay. I would certainly rent this beautiful home again!!!

“Beautiful, cozy home close to the beach” Beautiful home with great decks and ocean views. It's right near the beach access path and it's a short walk. The pool and hot tub are great it's a very family friendly, cozy home.

“Another great year in Corolla Light” One Grand Whim was a nice choice for us. It was well equipped. The location was close enough to enjoy a short bike ride to the beach and pool, and the house came with more bikes than we had ever had at CL before! The porch was perfect for sitting and relaxing. The layout of the living room/dining room/kitchen worked nicely. The hot tub was a nice plus. Only minus was there were no king sized beds, although three masters was a nice perk.

“Great for a large family” To avoid major traffic going over the bridge, we arrived to the area very early. Spent the day on the 4 wheel drive beach area which was only a mile or two away. Easy check in with code, but the door really doesn't open a miniute early. (which was terrible for my 5 year old neice who had to go to the bathroom) The house was clean and the pool was sparkling. The house had tons of beach chairs and pool toys in a closet next to the carport so there was no need to bring our own. There were two coffee makers and a great kitchen stock of cooking supplies. There were 20 of us and we had room to spread out. The each is only two blocks away and was accessed by a wooden path which avoided any car traffic. Outer Banks Blue was always very helpful and provided great service. The house was really a great price for a large family on a budget. The comforters on the bed should be washed more frequently especially when prior guests bring there dogs. There was a washer and dryer there, so i washed the comforters myself prior to using.

“Great vacation!” We had a great week at "A Pirate's Paradise" We loved the house, layout, pool---everything! We would love to come back again!

“Lovely house in great family location” This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and will not be our last. We were concerned that after Irina the house would be a mess, but on the whole it was great. There was some minor damage to a couple of screens, but otherwise the house is in great condition and was clean. The beach is a short, safe walk from the property and, in September, it never got very busy the whole time. There is a supermarket 5 minutes drive away and a number of restaurants in the area (the good ones require booking a table). The kitchen has the basics but bring your own chopping boards, condiments etc if you plan on cooking. Unfortunately the previous renters had used the play area as kennel for their dog and it was full of excrement. We called the management company, Outer Banks Blue, who apologized and said they would send someone over. We called again the next day but no one ever did come. That's a shame because it's a nice house and the response of the management company to our one small problem is the only thing that would make me think twice about using it again.
