“A Balinese village getaway, spotlessly clean and well appointed, and a short walk to shops and restaurants.” We stayed at Kupa Kupa Villa for one week in March 2014 and really enjoyed it. It was our first trip to Bali, and we opted for the airport pick up. It was punctual, friendly and good value, and far easier than trying to find our own way. As indicated on the Tripadvisor listing, the paths accessing the villa may not be suitable for the physically challenged, but our 60-something legs didn’t find them a problem. Actually the walks to and from the villa provided an interesting experience of Balinese village life. We stayed in the upper level villa. It was well appointed and spotlessly cleaned daily by the caretakers who also made a good breakfast. All the furniture including the double bed was in top condition. The terrace was a great place to relax and it offered nice rural views. The villa’s pool is small but deep and more than adequate for relief from the heat after a trip out to the many surrounding sights, or a walk up from Candidasa. The warungs, restaurants and shops along the main road and beachfront in Candidasa offer plenty of choice and a range of standards and costs. If we didn’t feel like walking too far, the German/Indonesian café at the bottom of the access stairs provided good meals and snacks. Overall, a great place to stay and relax away from the frenetic life of places like Kuta and Ubud. Good value too. Recommended.

“Awesome place - I want to go back!” I spent 10 days at Villa Bukit and I was sad to say goodbye. I had such a brilliant time there. From absolute luxury accommodation with views of the ocean and volcano, one quickly forgets city life while drinking a cold one and watching the sunset with your mates. The staff were so helpful and even arranged for us to attend a holy ceremony in town. With our scooters on hand each morning we set off to find the best breaks and I found this island was really chilled out and friendly. I would highly recommend this villa. “Peace on Earth” Words really don’t do such a fantastic place justice, but I will try connect you to what we have discovered. Please believe me when I say this is a must on your bucket list!!! Everything was absolutely perfect during our entire stay. Made and Kadek the staff at the Villa were very accommodating they were there to assist us with anything we needed. We spent 90% of our time in Rumah Kayu because we prefer the seclusion and everything we needed was already there. We loved "The beach" area, which is directly outside the front door, the kids loved exploring the rock pools in low tide and snorkelling in high tide . The villa was beautiful and very clean. The views from the decks are breathtaking, especially as you look onto the beach while sitting in the infinity pool. For the kids there is so much to do ball; games, drawing, soccer, cricket, badminton, baseball, banana boat rides and of course the awesome pool. I've been at Rumah kayu Villa now several times. With friends, family, In any case, this piece of Heaven on Earth has become a dear place to us. My sister describes it as one of her favorite places on earth that just makes her happy, we all feel the same about this oasis. There is so much to do! You can explore the island, the staff can charter a boat for you where you can go snorkelling, we’ve seen dolphins, manta rays, turtles and amazing sea life. I love it here so much that when i think "retreat", "relaxation", "recharging", "beauty", “exploration”, “family time” and “fun” I think of Rumah kayu Villa! Go to this well kept secret in Nusa Lembongan and i am sure you will keep it in your heart forever! .. I know it can be scary to book something online that you have never seen, but I promise-you will NOT be disappointed!!!

“Magical every time” Villa Nusa on the beautiful island of Nusa Lembongan has become my home away from home, literally. I have been fortunate enough to stay at this amazing villa 5 times over the past 18 months, and when i arrive i am greeted like family, even Sassie (Donnas Dog) is part of the welcoming committee & from that moment the magic that has enticed me time & time again begins. The view from the villa is breathtaking, looking across to Bali with Mt agung the hero of this unframed living artwork. At any time of the day or evening you can not help but stop and be lost in the beauty surrounding you. Unless you venture away from the beachside accommodation and up the unspoilt hill you will not experience the ever-changing living canvas that is the view from Villa Nusa. Donnas Hospitality extends beyond welcoming to advice on island life , restaurant recommendations range from the truly local experience of beach dining with your feet in the sand feasting on freshly caught grilled fish with coconut chilli sambal, vegetable and rice for approx. 30,000.00 rupiah, to Fine French Cuisine at Indiana Kandanga. On this visit Donna took me snorkelling with the Manta-Rays, a truly magical experience with 3 large rays gracefully gliding around us around as if inviting us to dance, to be so close and to swim with these gentle giants is a privilege and something to treasure. I could rave about the fabulous accommodation, large pool, beautiful gardens, waking up to the birds and the View.. Mt agung changing colour in the morning light, but hey thats why i keep going back. Its really hard to leave the villa and if you decide to stay in I highly recommend the chocolate brownies & ice cream delivered from the village by motorbike just to make the experience even sweeter. “Luxury accommodation in the heart of paradise!” The Villa Surya is a bright new villa with everything you could need for a perfect holiday. The villa sits in a beautiful grounds surrounded by paddy fields and a stones throw from a sandy beach! the infinity pool has a stocked fish pond running along its side which helps you to imagine that you are in the Garden of Eden cooling of in the heart of nature. Alit and Kutut instantly made us feel welcome when we arrived and couldn't do enough for us. Kutut cooked a wide variety of meals that were all delicious and plentiful. they are also willing to organise excursions to other areas of Bali and tourist attractions with one of the knowledgeable drivers, to fishing or diving trips and spa treatments, or massage or yoga lessons in the comfort of your own villa. The villa has a large well furnished rooms with air con in the bedrooms and brilliant Balanise showers in the bathrooms( you shower under the stars) that are kept immaculate by alit and Kutut... We are planning to return to paradise as soon as possible!

“Idyllic Villa Pantai in charming Candidasa” What a wonderful way to spend Easter with a cherished friend. Villa Pantai in Candidasa gave us memories that we will always hold very close to our hearts. The villa itself is beautiful and the staff are a delight and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The views are breathtaking whether it be from the bedrooms or the main entertaining area. It was such a treat to be welcomed by the sound of crashing waves and to be lucky enough to see dolphins swim by as we were enjoying a gorgeous breakfast. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, I hope one day to return.

“Excellent service and a beautiful home - would return on our nex” What can we say? Two families - nine altogether - arrived to a warm, friendly welcome and a cold glass of juice. A beautifully designed house, pool and gracious staff were a delight. Breakfasts were included and we also enjoyed some of our best evening meals at the home - (not included in cost but great value and a welcome break from eating out at another restaurant). The owner and staff could not have been more helpful or attentive - and we would all return to Villa Penyon without hesitation. Thanks for an outstanding holiday on Lembongan!

“Perfect setting” We travelled to Candidasa in Jan 2013 for 8 days (2 adults & 3 kids 11,8 & 4). We stayed in Jogolo and the accommodation was exactly as pictured. It was very comfortable & clean. We all had an amazing stay mostly relaxing by the pool and are all very much looking forward to another stay. We were delighted by the hospitality offered by Iouri and the lovely staff. We have no hesitation recommending the accommodation as it was really lovely.

“Our Palace for a week.” I spent a week at this wonderful villa for Xmas 2013 with my wife and 2 kids ages 12 &14 . We called it our palace. Rather than repeat what has been said, I'll just say I completely agree with the next couple of positive reviews titled "Magic @ Majestic" and "gorgeous spot". I realized quickly having someone like Wayan with you was a big bonus. He knows everyplace to go. He'll get you there and then wait for whenever you are ready to move on. If he sees you trying to get across a busy street in Ubud, he will fearlessly jump in front of traffic to clear a path. He has the same attitude to get a great restaurant table for you. As a great guide, I realized he always took the routes that would allow us to see the most beautiful sites, without us asking. Lot's to see and do in all directions, but we were happy not to be staying in the middle of all the scooters and tourists in Ubud. He gave us a phone so we could always reach him, without fail. For being gone all day, I thought the fee of 350k Rp very reasonable for a really nice van with Wayan. The housekeeper is very sweet and lovely. Make sure to load up at the grocery store because some days you're not going to want to leave the villa. Regarding other reviews, I wonder if they found anywhere in Bali that they were satisfied. The Villa is on a very small country road with little traffic and you would have a really hard time finding something more peaceful. Nobody on the road can see anything going on at the Villa, inside or by the pool. We all managed the walk round the pool and up the stairs entrance just fine, but for the very elderly and very young it would be concerning, depends on your group I guess. The staff brought all of our gear to and from the Villa for us. The kitchen worked fine for us with granite counter tops and 2 nice fridges, plus all the other things you might need. David who owns the Villa is great at coordinating the stay and providing answers to any question.

“Totally relaxed holiday , with everything we needed.” My wife and I had a most relaxing holiday while staying at the villa. the accommodation suited us and the beds in particular were wonderful after flying there tired, and needing a long sleep. The staff were helpful, friendly, and the food delicious. Waking up to the sounds of the waves, and seeing the local villagers going about their day was a pleasure. When we wanted to, we were driven to most places by Dewa, always ready to help. The location is close to places we often frequent when visiting bali which suited us more. The owners went out of their way to make sure we were well looked after. Our son will be staying there soon, we told him about the good surfing waves outside the villa. Wonderful break, thanks to all, see you next year.
